I hung up my tool belt a year and a half ago. Now I'm a retired Iron worker. I live here in Reno NV and would like to start a 2nd career ? I just moved I need to set up my loading bench. Today is the Nevada Caucus I'll be doing my American duty this morning. ..... Sight that rifle in and may you win that match.
I didnt know you retired good for you. Did you get the 35 years? My dad had to go at 27 with disability I only have 11 think my uncle is comming up on 25. I think once you retire its manditory to become the safety guy.

Set the rifle up on the work bench to double check the bore sighting.
Wouldn't know, nothing is where I thought it was, So I had to set it up
again. Discovered the scope mounts were off by 3/4 of an inch.
Scope rings don't fit the base like they should. Ended up buying new scope
rings.

Took it out to the range , checked out the 100 yd. target. other than being five inches to the right, looked pretty good. I forgot to check the wind. wind
gage said 14 mph. left to right. will spend the rest of the week reloading.

Howdy yes I achieved the Golden 85 +2 years. Can't believe how fast it went by. How are things for you all back there ? I live in Reno now very few Iron workers working up here and in my home local either.

To day was my 80th Birthday. All is well in the high desert of Oregon. Got a little snow, with a wicked wind. Today nice and sunny.

Reno is ok, But, I like Fallon better. I prefer smaller communities.

Going to the range tomorrow and burn a little powder. Got to get 200yd
zeroed in. Then I will know whether or not, If I can reach 1000.

85+ 2 87 watch out for the slippery ice.

Sad thing is were not living in normal times. When I'm 65 it will be 2023 Now were at 15 trillion in debt and already talking about 16 million. Our country hasn't ever faced an economic crises like we find our selves in. Something big is on the horizon .

I am really concerned with the daily blab.

What is on the horizon is dark and ugly and we are not going to like it.

Woke up to an inch and a half of snow. That's good we can use the moisture.

Its snowing here also. Up and coming election is the most important in our times. When I entered the labor market work was every where,in fact I took it for granted. What the generation entering into labor market now ?

Yes, as citizens we have an obligation to vote our choices, our conscience and encourage all other folks to do the same.

Freedoms bell is ringing. I am happy, that I am an old guy, if I am lucky I will
move on before the poop hits the fan.

Hi Barnesuser28

Great! This forum can be a fantastic place to learn about the different methods
of hunting and sportsmanship. I would suggest however, since most of the
postings are by adults, that you have an adult aged mentor, that can help you
with explanations about ethics and rules. You may not have experience with.

See if you can put together a group of teens to share the experience.

Age either young or old should not be a detriment to enjoying the outdoor
sports.

I'll be 65 in a few months.

65 in a few months, You have come a long ways. Retire from the Navy? or
the Coast Guard?

My Generation could have stopped the crap that's happening now if we had been paying attention, instead of raising kids. We are all paying attention now
but, I am afraid we may be a dollar short. I wish we had educated our children
in quality schools and not the public socialistic system. May be thsy would understand better what we are loosing. nobody wants to fight a war at home let alone one with our neighbors. As bleak as the horizon is I worry that may be not far in the future.

Welcome Aboard from another old fart. I am 15 years your senior.

Keep your shots in the middle and Practice, Practice, Practice.

1Hunter, re: Your 4/29 response.

I agree with what you said without reservation. But I'm 74 and the pounding in earlier years has taken a little over five inches off my erect height so I'm afraid most the the fighting will have to be done by the younger crowd.
