55 going on more or less depending on the day! I still pound UP Mtns, but the knees dont like the downhill anymore!

mtntrapper 1.

55 for me was 25 years ago. I still go up and down the mountains, but,
at a far more leisurely pace. Maybe not all the way to the top either.

Just far enough to find a good area to glass with my spotting scope.

I still Practice, practice and practice.

Readin this made me chuckle for some reason 1H, the manner it was said gave me an image in my head of a guy who wont be rushed or told how fast or how slow to go up or down.....quite fitting..makes sense ...:D

When you get to be 80, and still do the things you like,
you really are not about to be told where the bear
craped in the buck wheat.

That's one of the privileges of living this long.
We just have to be civil about it.

Practice, practice Practice

They say that Perfect Practice makes Perfect.
Only the elite can answer that one.

Hi : I'm 77 and planning a prairie dog hunt in July I will be using two
22-250 , a 204 Ruger, 223 AR and a 6.5 Grendel AR

Just turned 65 on 7/8 I HATE GETTING OLD

I'm 71 and if I didn't feel old, I wouldn't mind it so much. Can't walk more'n about 10 minutes before I turn into my evil twin. Being a crotchety old man does have it's advantages tho.
On the plus side, I have more money than I ever had, I'm smarter than I've ever been. I pretty much buy whatever I want, unless some jerk thinks he's gonna screw me on price.
Other than getting fat, ugly and worn out, I'm doing great!

If I had and evil twin I would turn him out, who needs him. I just finished two hunts one for Bow elk and the last one for Rifle deer.
The hunts required walking up or down some semi steep terrain.
I have managed to loose 14 lbs of fat.

I really enjoy these hunts and the comradeship generated or renewed.
Two things to remember about aging, stay active and keep the attitude
positive. By the way, I'm 80 and have a fall turkey and a goose hunt
coming up. Time flies when your having fun.

65+ and still young.

Yes, you are. Keep your health and stay active doing the things you
want to do.

I go to our 1k+ range about twice a week. Shot a .79 inch 4 shot group
@ 100 yds and a 1" 4 shot group @ 200 yds. on a .223 rifle I just finished
bedding. Not too shabby for an 80 year old.

Kool , thats what i'm talkin bout.... I do 25 pushups a night and 25 situps. + I got a little mutt that wants to be walked every morning....I go to the range or I'm hunting in the forest.. I still got to reload some 44 mags and 308's yet too... LOL I'm overloaded with stuff I still want to do, like go to colorado or the panhandle hunting.

Fantastic, My son and I are planning a do it yourself hunt in one of the Rocky Mountain States this fall. It will be an interesting first for us.

The rest of you old guys.

Remember, Death is just a whole lot of inactivity. Plan your life and live your plan.
