Longest Big Game Kill With Rifle

ekaphoto, I had one of those dumb luck shots ofars ago,we were packing up after a 2 week hunt over on the NWT boarder.A couple fo the guys were getting a head of us to get the 1st grouse on the road and I was standing next to their truck with a custom 10-22 in my hand when a flock of birds flew up about 75 yrds down the road ,I aimed knocked the 1st one out of the air,couldn't do that again or at least not in the same day

1320- white tail deer
800 - bull moose
980 - mulley deer
507 - cow elk
and many between 400-900yrds

Every year average distance is between 500-1000yrds, due to the hunting area and game movement.
You will train yourself to take shoots at grater distances and when hunting season starts, sometimes the games are showing at shorter then expected shooting range.

Train yourself hard, in harsh condition at longer distances and YOU WILL READY TO TAKE HUMANLY SHOOTS AT BIG GAME without loosing a wounded one.

Was born in Alta.the good thing about southern Alta.is that it;s flat and I had spent a lot of time shooting and hunting,kinda miss that,Yukon hunting is different in a lot of ways,we're supposed to eat the gohers we shoot,that one makes everyone laugh,most coyotes live in town,foxs are for trappers only,crows are protected,that leaves wolves open .I've shot 2 and we have to pay 10 bucks each and there is a limit.Back to longrange,practice make as near to perfect or as close to the best of our ablities will allow
I believe getting out and shooting can only make a better shot and give one the edge when that shot is called for,and we all know how rewarding reloading is knowing that you're building the one round that will take that animal with the skills that your building

First shot was with a RRA 458 socom @ 290, second was the finisher at 306 with 7mm rem.
