Kill the wolf?

It maybe just me but it seems that institutions of higher learning ,the press, and the bureaucrats have the same agenda when it comes to hunting and the 2nd admen. They will say anything to promote their cause
The truth be

It is definitely NOT just you. We all see it. Those with blue colored glasses cant seem to, though.

At 20K, it sounds like you were over-populated. Biologists in Idaho say that wolves account for less than 1% of the total predation of Idaho elk. While cougars account for the largest predation, at only 2%. Life mortality accounts for the biggest loss, as cow elk have achieved a longer life span, and it has come of age.

Biologist are the worst people to get info from. Where I live in Hawaii I had one biologist buddy who told me they would actually adjust counts of endangered birds, ungulates and predators to reflect in favor of their work to get more funding and or extend their work contracts. One example they fenced off a huge piece of land 20K acres and took out all of the animals to save the endangered birds. The grass grew out of control, rats, mice and feral cat populations exploded and actually affected the number of birds. But they inflated their numbers to back up their work. Pure BS as he confirmed it actually cut the bird numbers in half within a couple years. Sad but it's what they do... I hope it's not the same there in the states.

The REMF document reference is a master piece of contradictory information. It assumes that the Blue range Wilderness is a large area in Arizona and New Mexico within Apache-Sitgreves and Gila National Forests. It quotes wolf population as 131 for the Wilderness which is the 29000 acres east of 180 in New Mexico to the Arizona east state line. Oh yes, ONLY that area is designated by Congress as wilderness. They discount any pack designation with less than five (4 is not a pack/don't count). Also, there is no proven melanistic animals amongst Mexican Wolves, therefore another non counter. The Arizona side called Blue primative area is managed by USFS and USFWS as though it is part of the wilderness. Lots of finger pointing and no accountability. AZFG has unofficially estimated AZ wolf population at 400 plus; the reintroduction planning was for 200 max. The wolves were supposed to be Trapped in Mexico, but no information is available. DNA tests seem to indicate these are Canadian grey dog hybrids. So you think that REMF is being manipulated by wolf special interest groups or has joined them? You are entitled to your opinion of course! I forgot to add that the wolf sightings extend west to Flagstaff and north of I-40 on the Navajo reservation.

Yes from Texas and ain't got one clue how to hunt one

Yes from out of state a guide would be best as they would hopefully have a line on where a pack is and what tactics have worked for them.
I have had success calling them in with preditor call and howells but have yet to get a shot as they always seem to be on the run or at least a fast trot and they are very aware of wind direction.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. With literally 1000s of ivy league graduates in the " profession " of climate warrior and grant money being the main " income " for this so called profession , what's to keep these groomed activists from skewing models of possible causes and guilt to sound catastrophic if we dont follow their guidelines? Nothing at all, that's what ! In fact , its critical that they do drum it up to be catistrophic in order to make sure they get more funding to make a living . You sure dont give yourself job security if your report says it's a natural phenomenon and that there is no issue to study.
Another thing that really bothers me......isnt carbon dioxide the "oxygen " plants live off of ? Since when did the life blood of plants become a substance that is destroying the natural environment ? Dont take cows, you idiots , plant a tree !!

We don't have wolves or yotes here in Hawaii. We have wild dogs that are lost hunting dogs or some packs released in fenced off areas to kill the very last animals left inside after eradication. I've shot my share of wild dogs with bow and rifle the very last one about 3 years ago that actually stalked me and charged I was lucky to get a shot in his back as he swerved and died about 10 feet away flopping like a fish out of water. I shoot every single dog I come across in the deep country. They wreck havoc on what little game we have left, I can imagine what the yotes and wolves do in your states. I would shoot every single one I came across, won't tell a soul and most definitely won't take a pic, send to a friend or be stupid enough to post it. No matter how much wolves and yotes everyone shoots they will never be eradicated but instead be kept at a number where their impact on your game animals would be minimal, so shoot away!! That's just my 2 cents.

p.s. I meant not taking pics or talking about your kills on wolves. Post pics of yotes as most people don't care but will lose their brains on a pic of a dead wolf!!

And... we must also keep in mind that all these folks: game managers, biologists, environmentalists associated with the reintroduction will be out of work if the wolf is delisted. This has been a career for some of them. May be the cause of them adjusting the population goals?

You guys seem to know a lot more about wildlife biology, climate science and science in general than I realized, more than those scientists with their left wing agenda to get rich by taking away our guns, stop us from enjoying meat or anything good. It's great that I have this forum with experts to give me the TRUTH!
I'm having trouble with my back and I don't like surgeons— they only make money if they cut you or give you dangerous drugs. Do you have any expert advice on what I should do about it? Or does your expertise not include surgery?

Finally, God made a huge mistake by putting wolves here and it's up to us to correct that mistake.
