topics like this always bring in the Greta Thunberg/Farley Mowat types who try to convince us that we need to swallow the official propaganda.

Skewed in what way and why? One bad biologist doesn't represent all biologists (unless you want it to). There seems to be this idea that scientists are conspirators with some evil agenda. They, being human, have some biases but not conspiracies.

What is the motivation to plant lynx hair in places there not, to skew the data.

most eggheads in ivory towers based their doctorates on a PC topic that they knew would gain easy acceptance. Afterwards they received funding from bloated government agencies filled with like-minded PC bureaucrats in order to prove their theories. Who wants funding cut off? One hand washes the other, and eventually you get millions of dollars spent on useless fluff, or billions spent on the self-perpetuating con game of man-made climate change. It's all about useless parasites justifying their existence and extravagant paychecks at the expense of hard working people who get taxed to death while working endless 12 hr shifts to survive. Screw the wolf. people want to go hunting and fill their freezers, and enjoy time in the woods before their next series of shifts. The fact that the bureaucrats value wolves over people show how detached they are, and how useless their professional existence is.

Much likexthe lady that did all the scientific studying on the polar bear...everyone fretting that they are starving and will become extinct because of global warming......
Ahe got fired after she presented her conclusions....fired because the college she had been working at didn't like her finished paperwork or her open lecture......that simply stated that "polar bears are not endangered and they are not starving....they are however breeding in higher numbers and feeding extremely well"......fired....
Ever see any wolf papers stating they were starving or not breeding...
We could only wish.....i say kill all the males or all the females....if fhey become asexual and can sustain themselves they are here to stay....

Ok cool. I don't dispute what you've seen either, but it is just one (or a few) snapshot in time. Most likely their population will eventually crash and the remaining (hopefully) elk will rebound and the process will start again, like the graph I posted. Today there may be too many wolves for the system, tomorrow there may be too many elk, that's all I'm saying.

So while we are waiting for the Elk to come back after the wolves have desimated them my boys and other family and Friends do not get the chance to spend time together doing what we love most. It is (was) pretty much a way of life for us that I will no longer get to share with my Boys!
Sounds like a great plan...
Not to mention that Elk and deer etc. Are much easier to manage than wolves.

I just read this unbiased report on how humans do so much damage to the earth , but we are such a small part of the earths " biomass". Rofl, then threw up in my mouth ! Wow !
