26 Nosler Wildcats - 30 Nosler (308)

After seeing those numbers, I'm feeling optimistic about getting to 3000 fps with mine with acceptable pressure. My COAL length will be 3.750" and my barrel is 26" long.
I set this one up -.020.

Yes I think 3000 is doable. Heck, if I pushed it harder I might 3000 with the 24".

OTB says you will find a node right around 3020fps for the 26", 230 hybrid and RL-33 combo.

those are some pretty good numbers. its only 100 fps slower than my 300 rum with 26 inch barrel and a lot shorter. might have to do one when the 27 nosler is done. less powder, shorter col, no more single feed whats not to like. thanks for all your hard work. even know its going to cost me more money :)
Pretty fun/amazing to be able to do nearly the same with smaller capacity.

My RUM and Edge may go away. Naw, that great big Edge is too much fun. The Nosler variants are better for hunting.

I'm probably not going to use RL-33. I will likely use Retumbo or H-1000. But you never know until you actually get there.

I think it will be a little tougher to get there with Retumbo or H-1000 but there is also the new IMR 7977 and Reloader-26 to figure out.

just cant get rid of my edge need something to throw big chunks of lead way out their. but that 300 is hiding scared in back of safe and that will free up a bunch of r-p brass to try and shorten.

Hi Guys:

I am looking to re chamber a 30 caliber hart barrel in this caliber. I need info on a reamer and any help on data would be appreciated.

I want to re chamber a 30 caliber hart barrel to the 30 nosler. Any info on reamer rentals and loading dies.

By a 30 28 nosler, do you mean necking up a 28 nosler to a 30 caliber? if so, that is what I am referring to

I didn't realize that there was a difference between a 30 nosler and a 30 28nosler. The 28 is a 26 necked up, therefore wouldn't the above be the same?

A 30 Nosler is not a hypothetical "would be" thought. It is an existing cartridge. The reamer print for it and information about it is in this thread. It is not the same as a necked up 26 or 28 caliber.

Ok. I take it that the 30 28 is a better cartridge. If so, please let a novice in on the details. I also have a 7mm mag that I plan on re chambering to the 28 nosler

If bigger is better, it is better. If you want the details, start at page 1 and read this thread.
