Came in at 9.5 lbs, was gonna be lighter but my wife didn't like the look of fluting, but it still balances very well. The muzzle brake seam is flat invisible, I can't find it, they did a fantastic job blending it! The action was nitrided, and the barrel and bottom metal cerakoted to match. Looks fantastic, and she loves it! I have 50 rounds of 160 Sierra hpbt game king bullets loaded up with IMR7828SSC, once I get this bedded, gonna zero it and then have Sarah go out and shoot a bunch of Prarie dogs! Then, on to the 170 PVA Cayuga bullets for testing!

Depends on the fluting, anywhere from a couple ounces up to a pound with some specialty fluting from LRI. With a 7 flute 12 twist fluting from Lilja on a 24" barrel, it took off about .65 lbs. Strait 7 flute is around .5 lbs if I remember correctly? Different manufacturers will vary too, depth and width of fluting and many other aspects all affect it.

Well, minor set back....

If you notice in the photos, the brake was upside down. But, straitjacket made it right, and fixed it quickly free of charge, including new cerakote. Now to how it shoots!!

Just got a chance to shoot some fireforming rounds tonight, zero load developement, just got some 160 HPBT Sierra Game Kings, loaded a 7 SAUM 160 grain middle load of IMR7828ssc, some winchester large rifle primers I have laying around, and set the ogive about .150" in front of the case mouth of the brass, as the throat of the standard 7 max is .205", just so I knew it wasn't jamming.

Bottom right 3 is where it hit after a quick bore sight, then adjusted, and fired 10 rounds.....using a front sandbag on a 2x4 and a stapler as a rear rest ha ha. With that.....I think she's gonna shoot!!! I fired 25 tonight, the remaining 25 are for the wife, I just needed some brass to start load developement!
