Like most everyone here, I have several favorites...but its a close race between a couple...
One is a 90's model Rem 700 Stainless BDL 30-06 w/ 24" barrel sitting in a McMillan Edge stock that's light and handles extremely well.
With Rem's long throat and handloads from 125 grain to 165 or even 180 grain bullets and todays variety of powders, it's a very accurate and consistent go to rifle.
There's not much more to want or need.
My other favorite is a Long Action 284 Winchester throated for the long ones up to 180 Hybrid.
It also shoots very well with a wide range of handloads including Accubond, BT, Old Solid Base, ABLR and most flat base bullets.
These two, along with a few 308's, are my easiest rifles to load for with a wide range of bullets.
