This is whats wrong with hunting today

Again, you're missing the point man. Although I don't agree with a lot of your sentiment I respect it. It's not about the 22 Creedmoor. Although a hand full of us want to keep making it about that.
What's it about then, you just don't like his style or hat, if it's not the hard goods, that makes even less sense to be so wound up!!

I'm partially posting this in response to the wonderful discussion @Huntnful started about smaller calibers. This is not a bash on small caliber hunters or anyone else for that matter (including the man in the video). Flash to the 5:50 mark and indulge. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who is shaking my head in disbelief that guys like this are presenting info to people as if the round is actually the "Ultimate hunting round" IMO this is preposterous, with highly inaccurate and incomplete comparisons. This is what's wrong with hunting and especially long range hunting these days. Wondering if I'm not the only one here?

Well, I don't pay much attention to smaller calibers for everything. Was a 300 win mag guy forever. I have finally jumped on the 6.5 Creedmoor and 7mm PRC for deer maybe elk. For dangerous game I went to larger calibers with brakes and hopefully suppressors, as dangerous game is what it is. Shot placement is paramount, but bigger heavier bullets that make bigger holes is my preference now for those Dangerous bad boys and girls.

I honestly can't anymore. I hope I'm not the only one here. I mean I posted that you should flash to 5:50. I really don't know how else to explain it. If you cannot identify the point of the thread by the opening post I'm sorry. You seem to have an axe to grind and this isn't the place to do it. I could care less about what style hat a man wears. I don't judge a man by his appearance nor do I award praise for the gunsmith or how the rifle is built. I judge the character of a man by his content (not social media content) and moral of his words. The mans word and morals are garbage. If you don't agree than flash to 5:50 and listen. It's garbage. It's abundantly clear what the point is. The cartridge he's using is moot.

Agree 100%. This guy is an absolute pinhead. I had the absolute displeasure of pleating this guy at shot show a few years back and he's an arrogant p$&ck to boot. Got in a pretty amusing and heated exchange with him when I commented on this video with him. Dude sucks

So why are F class guys not shooting 22's? Because 22's do not have as good a bc as a heavy 7mm.
You didn't read what I wrote, or what I was quoting. 22CM saami spec will always have less drift than 7RM saami because a 7RM cannot stabilize a high BC 284 bullet. No one in F class is running 7RM in 9+ twist barrel. I doubt anyone is running 7RM at all.

Most think a brush gun is a caliber that can push past twigs and branches with accuracy. Really? Not. A brush gun is a gun that can be handled easily in brush and brought to bear quickly and discharged accurately. Sometimes even keeping you alive! Granted some have tried.
If that was they case the full term wouldn't be brush busting and they wouldn't come almost exclusively in large diameter cartridges. Nothing about a 45-70(or 444 Marlin or 35 whelen etc) cartridge itself makes it more easy to handle and discharge than say a 308. People just think large heavy bullets can go through brush and not deflect and it's not the case at all.

I mean the start of this thread a guy thinks that bullet diameter or weight have anything at all to do with wind drift. And you hear that ALL the time. "Those little bullets get blown around in the wind". Which is just code for "I'm telling you I know nothing about external ballistics without telling you".

I think it was in PO Ackley's book where he states that in his military testing they discovered that fast and light bullets like 223 or 220 swift deflected less from intended path than let's say 30-30 or 45-70.

Mumbler in chief!

No offense but I think you can cool it with the hating on people's choice of wardrobe. It's worse than someone's choice to hate on a 22 Creedmoor. I understand your assumed humor but I feel you're taking it a little too far joking about his hat being a target indicator. For the life of me I cannot understand why other people's choices anger people so much. This thread is about the misinformation/lack of information that's being shown by people today. The parody is that there's plenty of like biases present right here on this forum and this exact thread. I respect you and everyone but we should strive to keep our community much cleaner her on LRH.
You said you understand the humor with which my comment was intended, fair enough, and thanks for receiving it as intended.

But then you pin the words "hate" and "anger" on me, as if you know what is in my heart. You're off the mark there.
