In the Ear? Really???

Good luck with your surgery. I hope everything goes great.

Thanks Coy...Should be able to see better than I do now. If not, something went radically wrong. Going to ask the Doctor just before the operation if it's too late to get Photo Grey lenses....ROFL.

Everyone that has been through this surgery tells me is is a lick! My major concern is that now I'm going to have to see what DJ really looks like and not sure my heart is up to the shock of all that ugly at one time.........:D

Got the client happy and the company happy so guess I'm doing OK. I did multiple millions of $ worth of work for this client previously and only problem so far is they are insisting that I oversight the project. We'll see what happens. Not sure I want to get that involved in another Construction Project with all the things that they can change.

On the last project I did for them, they ordered all of the manufacturing equipment 3 Phase Electric and the closest 3 Phase electrical was 1600 feet away and across two major traffic roads, then wouldn't send the equipment back and exchange it for the single Phase they were supposed to order. They ended up issuing me a $700,000 change order and a lot of the previous work had to be removed or modified to fit the new electrical requirements including all the underground conduit runs. Not sure I want to put up with the hassle.

Client is worse than dj as far as Indecisiveness. But then what can you expect from someone who has to borrow ammunition from another hunter (Coy) to shoot a poor pig in the butt! I mean, there were about 6 Hogs on the ground and i'll bet that dj only showed up with about 4 rounds. So cheap, he squeaks when he walks. Then gloats because the poor Hog was so terrified that the minute the round hit it, it had a Heart attack! Would have been the same result if he had hit it on the hoof or the hog just heard the round whistle by it's ear. It was so scared because it probably thought Coy was going to shoot at it instead of djones.

Anyway will try and be a little more active on the site in the future now that I have everyone happy. Got a couple of great stories I've been meaning to tell, but didn't have the time, unless djones goes back to posting regularly again.

not falling for that one. aint clicking on lemondrop.com or whatever it is. i may have had to browse thru 7 or 8 categories on backpage to find the worst one but i think i found it. i'm just a simple man and don't need to know of such things.

since ratman can't see i'm going to go ahead and post my biggest hog kill to date. the wheat just couldn't take much more abuse from this guy and i had to put a stop to it. i cudn't roll him over to pose him for a pic, so this will have to do. i'm estimating about 550 lbs on the hoof.

your will was too strong. i had to see. pardon me now while i gouge my eyes out. thanks a lot!!!

What! You're claiming road kill as a long shot now!.....My eyes may be bad, but they are NOT that bad that I can't see that that hog won't go over 250 pounds.....Just who are you trying to fool!.....Not letting you get away with that!!!!!!!

...nice Hog there djones! I have a ton of those show up in my front yard and must not have known what I was looking at!

packrat, hope the surgery goes well. Had to chuckle at your remark about your Brother "paddling in from Houston". We've had so much rain here that i swear I've seen Redfish tailing in the ditches out front! Hopefully we can have a few rain free days this coming week.

Got out my magnifying glass and that there hog must be a crossbreed or a hybrid. Looks kind of strange, but am not going to let djones get away with padding out the weight like that.

Thanks to everyone that wished me well. Not like it's a big thing, just that over the last several months my eyesight is at least twice as bad as it was back in January and seems to be getting worse daily. It's time to get em fixed. Rather than those of you sending flowers or cards for my recuperation, I am suggesting that you send your donations to my favorite charity. Just send them C/O the Packrat, LRH.....

I also notice that the minute my back is turned and he thinks I can't or wont see what he is doing, dj starts posting again. Must be more thin skinned than I thought and afraid of a little criticism.

Now on a different note, the State of Arizona including the Fish and Game Department is offering a Big game Super Raffle. What makes this one so interesting is that the season for any one of the 11 animals you can hunt, is for 1 year! Yep, if drawn, you can hunt any of these animals year round from August 2015 to August 2016 until you get your limit. I put in for a Buffalo hunt, since it is one of the few I've never hunted and the $13,500.00 Swarovski Optics package. Figure by August, I'll be able to see again. $150.00 gets you a ticket on all 11 animals, but each can be bought separately. Animals and raffle ticket prices include Antelope - $20, Black Bear - $5, Buffalo - $20, Coues Whitetail - $10, Desert Bighorn - $25, Elk - $25, Javelina - $5, Mountain Lion - $5, Mule Deer - $20 and Turkey - $5. Plus there is an option for a $9,500 Elk hunt in New Mexico - $20. AND my favorite the Swarovski Optics Package is free if you buy all 11 tickets for $150 or $10 per ticket.

Sorry, dj, no Feral Hogs.

Anyway rather than take up more room on LRH, here are the details:

AZ Big Game Super Raffle
Just click on the link.

Go check it out. On a side note, at the bottom of the page in real small letters is the statement, in accordance with State Law: No purchase necessary. One ticket will available free of charge to anyone requesting a ticket by mail. Void where prohibited by law.

THIS IS NOT A PACKRAT ENTERPRISES SCA......PROPOSAL!

Hope I didn't violate any LRH reg's by posting this.

The reason this was posted on the Hog forum is that "In the ear, Really???" gets over a hundred and fifty views per day as opposed to a lot less on the General Discussion Forum

Pac, I just shot three hogs in my backyard this week so I'll load them up and head up to djones' place and we'll box them up and send them to you. You can play with them while you are recouping from the surgery. Two of the three were shot in the ear, really!

Isn't it amazing how people will try and distort the intention of a post? Can't imagine where they get that idea that it is an acceptable practice.....:)

Coy, I was thinking more of a monetary donation since it would be so much easier to ship and I would hate to put you and djones out by having to box them up and ship them. However the thought is appreciated.......Somewhat!.........

Been thinking that if I can win the Buffalo hunt in the Raffle, lightbulb instead of shooting a big one, I could try and capture a calf, live and then send it to you to raise with your cattle. Either Buffalo or Beeffalo is very excellent eating. When I was growing up in Orange County CA, between the Orange County Airport (Now John Wayne Airport) and Corona Del Mar the Irvine ranch leased out about 10,000 acres where they raised Buffalo. At a small Cafe they would sell bowls full of Buffalo and Beans, kind of a modified Chili for .50 cents and us kids would save our money that we'd get from cashing in pop bottles (2 cents per bottle) that people threw along the roads and we'd splurge whenever we'd get the chance. Sometimes, depending on how sales were going, the lady running the place would give us free refills. Never could afford the Buffalo steak until much older and stopped at a charity Buffalo feed in Omak, Washington in the mid 70's.

I got to thinking about it and Southern California was a great place to grow up in the early to late 1950's. With all the agriculture, there was always something to eat and some of it grew wild like the Prickly Pear Apples, after building a fire and burning off the needles, which if we brought any home, was made into Jam. The farmers were generally pretty forgiving if you ate what you picked off the vines and trees and didn't get into fights with the Tomatoes, Turnips, Green Beans, Peas, Apricots, Peaches, Raspberries, Strawberries and all the other things they grew. We kids knew most of the farmers and they'd tell us that as long as we didn't waste the crops, we could eat all we wanted off the vines and some of them even let us pick some to take home. Totally different environment from what came later. Lost something in the transition to the snake pit it is today.

BTW, where are the pictures of them Hogs????? That will do for now, instead of the real things.

Well, got things to do, so will check back later.

Have you ever seen an obese lady at a slot machine?....It's called Fat Chance!

YOUR word is good enough, just trying to add some photo's to the thread....won't necessarily say the same about djones!

Will post after the operation tomorrow!
