Actually would just like to take one down to the range and try it. Tried to get the local Gun store to give me a 3 day option on the Sightmark they were trying to sell me, but once used, (shot) they won't take it back. There was also something I didn't like about it, but can't remember what it was, at least tonight. Maybe it was that they wouldn't let me try it. Really too bad cause if they would, they've got a couple of rifles I wouldn't mind trying out also.
Anyway, go kill some hogs and we'll talk later.

Bad news djones,
Seems that my wife's medical program is going to take between 6-8 months to complete, so had to contact attorney yesterday, handling the sale of this house and return the buyers deposit. Fortunately, both the buyer and I had opt out options in the sales agreement. After all, Feces occurs! It also worked out for my eye surgery so pretty soon I'll be able to see again.and can turn down this 70" TV screen I use as a monitor at 18" and reduce the size of the fonts from extra large to normal.
Why this is bad new for djones, is that now, maybe I will be getting another opportunity to go to Texas this summer for another Hog hunt, depending on when my brother gets a call, and my availability. But will be down in SW Texas, rather than up in the central North of Texas so will not be in djones way. Probably a good thing as I'd hate to show him up in his own region.....LOL.....Actually, really not the same competition since we hunt very short range in heavy brush, except at the feeders, and he gets to shoot them at extended ranges. Total different ways of hunting. Besides if he gets upset, well.......
This time, will take some pictures, as always before, we just hauled them to the Gut pile and dumped them. Didn't realize then that people wanted to see pictures of dead hogs. Also, will get a chance to try the NVD and swap out this one for the D-760 my brother has, after he goes to bed of course.... I think the NVD he sent me is a digital and can be used for day or night, which does have it's advantages, but now will go take it out of the vault and see what capabilities it has. Then again, I may not swap it, since I'm not going to have as many opportunities to hunt hogs as he has. Sometime this winter he also got a 10 or 12 point and is trying to do a European mount, but is complaining they don't have any ants to clean the skull.
Well, lots of stuff to do today, with the extended circumstances, so will check back later.

Well, looks like I threw poor old Mr Jones into a fit of depression, just knowing I was going to be coming back to Texas this year. He's is so despondent that he won't even post on his own thread! Either that or my challenge in the previous post scared him. No telling which. I'll show the challenge again just so you don't have to go back to figure out which one I mean.
Besides if he gets upset, well......
Told my brother that if he didn't have ants to clean up that European mount go spread a blanket in the yard and act like you're planning a picnic. Sure enough, about 10,000 ants showed up, so got his problem solved. Ran across the following picture on another site and thought it was appropriate, so just for enjoyment.....

Least you could do is check into your own thread once in a while, Instead of running off and leaving the entire thing to me!
I've got out of state company so could use some help here keeping these viewers entertained. Doesn't have to be intellectual, which in your case is probably a good thing!
Just come in and talk Hog. Post one of your pictures from earlier in the thread or something, but at least check in. I suspect the reason we're not hearing from you is that you've about photo-shopped all the pictures you can find on the internet and have about shot out all the hogs in your neck of the woods, so go down and help Coy with his hogs. He's not that far and could use the help. If you want to get on his good side, take along a spare set of tires for his truck.
Remember, I'm not the one in the Superman long johns a couple of pages back!

Well, haven't seen any posts yet so that means either I'm being ignored or you're in Jail again. Keep trying to tell you to stay away from that denatured alcohol, but you don't listen. Suspect I'm being ignored, since haven't received any requests to bail you out again. So...Will just try and embarrass you into responding. Nice photo of Coy and his entourage, but I notice 4 of those hogs have truck tire marks across them....Then again,, he's got the truck in the background so I guess it's OK. Coy, were they all from the same litter or something? I notice they're all about the same size, and a nice even dozen. The magazine in that picture looks a little big for .308, so is that one of the .338's?
Hey Coy, What do you think about someone that starts a thread, going strong until he shoots out the entire countryside, then kind of wimps his way into passing the buck for the thread when he runs out of hogs? If I didn't know better, would say his age is really catching up to him. Personally, I think he's back to snorting sorghum dust and is spending most of his time in La La land.
I don't really mind if he wants to shut down the thread or lay off for awhile, it's just the kind of whiney way he's trying to do it that has me bothered. Poor baby, just can't keep up with two old men older than he is.....Jeeeezzzz. Then again, Coy may not be older than he is, cause lately, djones looks so old and decrepit, am not sure that even I am older!
Anyway, djones, we don't always need pictures, just an occasional post to let us know what is going on. so I will back off on the posting, have more than enough to keep me busy anyway with rewriting the Recipe book for seniors and will let djones and Coy set the pace. Eventually I'll get down to Texas and then will have some hogs pictures to post. In the meantime, if anyone else has pictures, feel free to post them, or make comments, and we'll take every opportunity to comment on them. I will probably be posting a few more stories as we go along, but will stop hassling djones, at last for a while. Poor ole guy needs his rest!

I've been trying to figure out a way to start my own thread, but in what Forum?......and not sure anyone would come in to read it, so will just kind of lay back and see what happens.

Darn, said I was going to quit hassling djones, but it is kind of a conditioned reflex. Something I noticed though, is that when djones opened this thread, he capitalized, used comma's, periods and all the other things normal to writing correctly, and then as he got further into the sorghum dust, just posted in all lower case.
BTW, have had inquiries into whether snorting Milo has a euphoric side to it. Well, don't know about euphoric, but somehow it must affect your brain cells. Go to page one of the thread and look at djones writing, then come back here and look at recent posts. The degradation in writing style is evident............Wouldn't surprise me that when he starts running out of ammunition, he's not standing on a street corner somewhere, peddling Milo grindings. " Pssst...Want to buy some grindings? Genuine Amarillo gold!"

Now it's shooting them anyplace he can hit them...A couple of his last hogs were shot in the butt, so he probably can't tell one end from the other anymore, which could get him in trouble in the future. Especially if it gets to the point where it affects everything, not just hogs.
