In the Ear? Really???

Sorry, no post today, got very, very busy and no time to even harass Mr. Jones.

Will try to do better tomorrow, but not sure I can come up with something intellectually stimulating enough to keep all you viewers happy. In the meantime, here's a sign I have hanging around that kind of fits my mood tonight!

Well, first of all, let me apologize for yesterday. Normally I have time to post and try to pick a subject that is intellectually challenging enough to keep the viewers interested, but, sometimes life just conspires against you. Now apparently some of you wonder what my posts have to do with Hog Hunting. The answer is simple. Nothing! Most of the time my posts are simply fill in's to keep the suck…….viewer's coming back until djones can get back herewith another picture of a hog he downloaded off the internet and then photo shopped his likeness into the background. Now THAT has to do with Hog hunting, no matter how illicit the actual post from him is. You have to understand djones. He is the original patent holder of the "Wash and Wear Conscience", so he feels that any post is better than none, and somehow, I have become his unwitting accomplice. The only thing I can say in his favor is, based on the number of views, it seems to be working.

One of the reasons I was unable to post yesterday was that I received a phone call from the publisher of my latest book "50 All Time greatest Recipes for Canned Cat Food" that some of the references and recipes had to be modified. It seems that one of the main canned Cat Food suppliers had just been cited for using Porpoise, a protected species, parts in their formula and the other major hang up was the Greenpeace finally got the Food and Drug Administration to ban the import of Whale Blubber, one of the main ingredients in some of the recipes. The shame of it is that pre-sales marketing showed the potential demand was very high in the age 66 – 80 year old group, particularly retiree's living on Social Security and residents of Texas, particularly farmers. Anyway, will be editing the book for a couple days so if I seem preoccupied, just bear with me.

Again, what does this post have to do with Hog Hunting….Absolutely nothing, ……..except that it got you to come back and see what absurdities I had posted.

Anyway, hang in there, I'm sure djones will be back sooner or later.

Hey djones,
I saw Samantha this morning on her way to the School Bus and she commented on the last post with all the hogs on it and the multiple pictures, about what a nice smile you had, but she couldn't figure out what you were doing with the piece of steel in your mouth.

I went back a couple of pages and found what she was talking about. It was the Original, very first pictures from this thread that I uploaded the other day and the picture she was talking about was the 3rd one down! you have to go back a couple pages to find it, but I have to agree, nice smile, but you do need to brush your teeth again. Yep it's that time of the month again, so go brush them!...:D

i was down getting gas before coming out hunting and found this old guy panhandling for pocket change at the service station. told him i was going hunting for hogs and if he wanted to come along he could have any hogs we got. made the mistake of handing him the rifle to hold and right after this photo he almost blew my foot off. he said he hadn't eaten in 3 days and i told him that i admired his discipline, but i had to eat regular no matter what i looked like.

I have a good friend that helps me two days a week and yesterday morning he was moving hay with a tractor and front end loader when he called me and told me to bring him his rifle there's a hog in the hay again. So I ran to his pickup to get it and it was not there. I related this information to him so he tells me he will just chase it down and stick it with his knife. I thought he was kidding..........he wasn't! He chased this hog down in the ravine behind my house and cornered it and stuck it with a 6 in folding knife he carries on his belt. I missed the whole thing!!! The hog was dead and the knife was certainly bloody along with his hand and coat so I know it happened. I missed the whole thing!!! He finishes his job about 5:00 and leaves and a short time later brings a trap and a bucket of corn to place between the ravine and the hay. Yep, this morning he has two more hogs weighing about 50 - 60 pounds. I ask if I can carry them up in the field and run them down with my pickup and he says "No". How about me shooting them with buckshot after we take them up in the field? "No" OK, how about I shoot them with buckshot in the trap? "No" So he loads them up in his special "hog trailer" and drives off with them. Hee hee, he doesnt work for me tomorrow. Somebody may die!!! Of course it will be an accident for sure.....probably.

You know, I may be blind, but I'm getting my eyes fixed. I think you need to see an Optometrist, Quick! ......ROFL......

Had to post something, djones has taken a sabbatical...... Actually suspect he may be having a heavy work load at his "Day" job from his post a day or so ago OR he's cleaned out all the hogs locally, and is traveling to Arkansas every night to get a little hunting in.

Don't know who looks the most relaxed, you two, or that hog.

Your part time helper sounds like me, don't get mad, get even!.....:D...sounds like he a definite plan for them hogs, that you'll probably hear about shortly. Let us know what he does with them, if you can!

coy is my sensei. like all masters, he doesn't have to prove his skills anymore. that's why he just runs over them in the truck now. however there was a time when he killed with such speed i had to video my lessons and replay them in slow motion. it was only then that i realized coy shoots with his eyes closed; well not actually closed, but rather rolled back in his head like an attacking shark.

well, we know what packrat looks like now. I am going to have to shoot something, even if its one of our cats and take a picture so I have proof. Glad to see the hogs keep meeting their maker.

You need to re-read the posts Brewer, that is Coy Franks in the pictures. Master Hunter, Texas Farmer extrordinaire and now apparently blind as a bat from what he's saying about him and djones. I had heard that his crop of tumbleweeds won all the ribbons, hands down, at the county fair! BUT to be fair, there are only 212 residents in that county. I understand that he specializes in growing Hogs and Tumbleweeds.

Snox, you need to coordinate your outfits a little better, that Bra just doesn't go with those plaid shorts! Close, but no Cigar! You might want to ask djones help in the future, but then, I understand be only buys his outfits already coordinated from Victoria's Secret.

The reason there is NO picture of me on the site anywhere, is because of the manipulation of the picture above. djones would have an absolute field day with ANY picture I posted especially if he thought it was me! Maybe one of these days, I'll give him equal time.

BBL, got errands to run

I actually liked that top till pac pointed out it didn't match. Well I guess it doesn't have to match I was hunting after all.

Also pack as far as sights also check out the vortex strikefire. Every now and then you can buy them on Palmetto state armory for under $100. I have a few of those I really like for an inexpensive red dot. Also comes with a zoom lens for stand hunting.
I may have a fastfire || Laying around I don't have a use for. Pm me and ill see if I can dig it up when I get home from my trip.
