In the Ear? Really???

Good shooting DJ!

My friend he lets me hunt his property let me know that there is a 12 hog Sounder roaming his property. Bad news for me is that my pick up truck is in the shop and will be ready until the middle of next week.

I doubt my wife will let me take her car to the woods...

That's what you get for driving a Chevy I think? Lol

It's a 1986 F150 I inherited from my grandfather when he turned his license into the State of Washington. He didn't believe in preventative car care, so even though I've had it for 3 years, I'm still dealing with maintenance issues from him not addressing things. Usually the thing is a beast, but it is having some electrical issues. It gets 12 miles to the gallon, doesn't have a working radio or a straight panel, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Oh man electrical is the worst to. Ya those older trucks seem to live forever. I have a feeling he was like my dad when it came to service work it didn't happen. My dad would buy a truck and drive it till it was dead and gone usually 300,000 plus. Then he would go get a new one. I always enjoyed that he was that guy in the story everyone heard. Go to the dealer after work covered in sawdust and smelling like a hobo. ( hobos smell worse than hot garbage but not as bad as DJ if you ever wondered) most of the sales guys would book out to go home and the one who drew the short straw would be shocked when he's write a check for a new one. Lol.

actually... i've smelled much much worse

Don't know how you have smelt worse as your upper lip is about as bad of smell that exists.
Ya speaking of that rat where do you think he is. Do you have him in an old well in your basement? He did say he was gonna come visit you and them he went silent. Hmmmm

DJ,

My truck crapped out the middle of the week before last. Hopefully I get it back in a day or two. If not it will be the middle of next week before I get to head out since we've got family coming in this week for my daughter's first birthday party.

i suspect the ratt is lurking. no matter, there is a new president of the 'in the ear' fan club...

Nice work. Lol I should be offended that an old timer like yourself is more computer savy than myself. And I have to install the dam things all of he time.

This is one area in which I need to improve my skills. I've got an IT guy that works for me. For him, this is easy. For me, not so much. My photoshopping skills are pretty pathetic!

sighted in some new handloads last night, so i was confident enough to try for the ear (or the eye... at over 100 yards i'm lucky to just get close). felt pretty good about the shot and dropped him with authority.

Good job DJ! Nice shooting! What load were you using?

I'm trying some of the Hornady Superformance 150g .308 ammo. Supposedly leaves at over 3,000 fps. I'm interested to see what it will do on hogs.
