Copper monolithic bullets, like barnes (i tried some)

No its never going to be competitive in a benchrest match, but yes good enough for me. It might be improved upon by trial and error, but a waste of barrel life and components in my opinion.View attachment 575454

Yes you encapsulated my feelings exactly. Half moa is great. And it would be fun to tinker with it to shrink it. But not with the cost and scarcity of components and barrel life and time.
 
6x6 Bull Elk at 450 yards with a 300 WM & the Barnes 180gr TTSX. Dropped on impact, bullet was tangled up in the offside hide. I switch bullets not based on my preference, each rifle likes a different pill. Barnes makes a great product, the LRX line is a solid projectile. If your gun shoots them well, never look back.
