Anyone still using a 700 action?

Guess my small arms locker is pretty Old. I've consolidated my Rem 700's to just 4 .308 Win and 1 .223 Rem. Three of my .308 Win Rem 700's have 24 inch Match Crowned barrels. One for Fort Stewart, One for F-Class, and one in the shop for barrel change etc to swap out with the other two. That leaves a 22 inch barreled AAC Breakout version for general field use, and a .24 inch barreled .223 for P-Dogs in AZ. All of them carry 5R barrels. Anyone else still using the 700?

Absolutely, have several. Nothing wrong with them. For some reason a tasteful 700 build catches my eye and I'm not ashamed to say it.

Full customs are cool and I like and have those too but a 700 is blue collar and that's what I'll always be.

Both shoot great! They just lack the custom features but I grab the 300WM more than most other rifles.

What do you consider dangerous game

Well, 0610 must be hunting Dangerous Game that carries Projectile Weapons, and all the other Dangerous Game I know of have teeth and claws to maul and main you.

I don't think a 700 action would stop me from hunting anything.

Dangerous Game that can mail and claw you is best hunted with a Controlled Round Feed like a Mauser Action. That's why the Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 is so prized today. The push feed 700 is way less costly to accurate, that's why it remains a favorite for target shooters.

I'm using 3 700 actions for builds...one is my 7mm stw built by lri..have way too much money in that one....one is a 308 built off the last rifle Seeley masker built before he died..barrel was shot out and I had Mike manzella of manzella precision do a 308 with it......and one is a target rifle action built by John Ambrose that I turned in to a 243 for my son with a $26 eBay takeoff barrel...they all shoot great but my customs just do it better.

After actually reading the post, I realized this was meant for builds.

I've only got 1 at the moment.
Started as an ADL 243. Put in a HS stock, 27" Bartlein 1:7.5", Trigger Tech Special.
