People look at me cockeyed when I tell them N570 will push a 180 North of 3100'.That is pretty dang fast!
Its a little hot at 3150 but 3100' seemed fine in mine.

Thank you very much for the testing. Just curious how you setup you Labradar as I have come to understand it is best to mount it ABOVE the barrel if using a common side ported style muzzle break as the shockwave of a muzzle break really doesn't agree with them.Guys, my labradar was on the fritz today. Missed most my rl26/151 solids and N570/180vld pressure tests. I do have solid numbers on the RL23/151 solids. 63gr rl23 w/ 151 did 3081, top charge of 68 did 3331, top 2 charges were compressed I did 1 grain steps.
71gr N570 w/ 180vld went 3145 with clear ejector. 65gr went 2966
I didn't get a single **** round of the RL26/151 test. Honestly the best shooting of all was the 151/RL23 where 3 rounds in the middle charges went into one big hole. I've found these solids to be quite finicky on seating depth in the 122gr 6.5 variant. 40k off shot best today @ 3/4" going 3365 average. I'm going to bump powder by 0.2 and see if I can get it closer to thr 3380-3390 node I saw in the psi test and play around with seating depth on the 40k off area. All the 151s were loaded what I believe is 20k off in the max, but who knows, they don't have a normal nose to measure ogive, thr drive band is under gauge to bore and that's what you use for determining jump. All I have as of today, hope to get more info early next week.
I had a 4 legged Pod that mounts mine above the bore. Usually set it so radar is above scope objective. I use a recoil trigger as it's more reliable than doppler and also I'm switching between brakes and suppressors. Zero problems getting reading with trigger/can normally. Today was raining, wo shooting partner and I were in the rooved portable structure that can tarp up the side w/rain coming in. We had issues till we set up outside the structure. Used the structure as shade so still stayed fairly dry, but radar worked 90% better outside, but still missed a few. Good weather and open area, it usually tracks very well.Thank you very much for the testing. Looking pretty darn good! Nice looking rig and great shootingLatest on my rifle.... fireformed in one step, 57 grains of RL23 and 160 speers.
here's a group from seating depth testing... I'm a happy camper
@elkaholic one heck of a cartridge!
The 175's shoot well in mine and some clients have had good on game results.I finally got some shooting in, 180 Berger hybrid with H1000 and R26, just finding pressure and looks like around 3000 fps with H1000 and 3050 with R26 will be a nice range. Ran the R26 up to 3120 fps, little shiney spot, no bolt lift but it would reduce it to 3-4 firings on the primer pocket.
Got a pressure ladder loaded with R23 under the 180's also.
Really tempted to order some 175's!!!
Browning and bigNgreen, what are your barrel lengths?
