They are the same case. The SS has a 40* shoulder and the SST has a 30* shoulder, which comes out to a ~50fps velocity difference. I have the same opinion as Phil. Since you're going up to a XM plus action you could move up to the 7max. You could always run it at 7SS speeds and get better Bbl and brass life.

That looks good. Rich called me back and I'm sticking with the 7 Max and 190gr Bergers to start with.
At the distance youre talking about heavier would seem better to Me
By heavier I meant the 190 over the 153.
