Agreed!! The 7 mag is an outstanding and versatile cartridge. Easy to find ammo and great for just about any North American game.

Don't see it listed but we have a Rem 700 being rebarreled in .280 Rem. as we speak. We love this round for deer hunting.

Just a reminder, the choices used in this poll were arrived at in an earlier thread where I solicited suggestions.

Whoo Hoo!!! I got word today from Kirby that the stock and receiver are in his shop and he can finally get to building it. (7mm AM) It's been a LOOONNNGGG wait.

300 RUM, for NORTH AMERICAN BIG GAME, and also want a 338 EDGE, for extreme long range shooting. But I also want a 223 for predators, and a 308 win for training and shooting a lot!!!:D
I guess I have to make my mind so I know where to start.

I have sort of worked my way up.

1. Savage 110 varmint barrel .223
2. Savage 110 standard barrel .243
3. Savage 111 standard barrel (soon to be heavy barrel) 300 WM.

Next will be a Savage 110/111 in 338 Edge.

I have many others, but those are my bolt actions.

Next build will be a 6mm AI. Already have an brand new 700 BDL action with bottom metal and a Hogue OM full bed stock. Waiting for a Krieger to get in and am shopping for a scope. I'm planning on just doing a fit and chamber and accurizing rather than a full blueprint because the action is nice and tight. Ought to make a nice little truck gun. gun)
