That's a thought that's crossed my mind too! But then won't it require single feed only as the cartridge itself will be very long compared to magazine length? I suppose that's not the end of the world but kinda defeats the point of a repeater.

Not if you get the right length mag. No different than a 300prc...my long throated winnie isn't a single feed.
