This was the same theory I had as a youth in observing the different reactions of a large sample size of deer (culling) to the same combination of factors - cartridge, bullet, hit angle, animal alertness, etc... And not just from the target animal response but from the effect on the lungs/heart. Some had holes. Others exploded. Only thing I could come up with. This thread was just getting started! I thought I'd throw some fuel on the fire with this article on why knockdown power is $/!:&/)/(/!!
Debunking the Infamous Rifle Knockdown Power Myth ā Outdoor Life

Lol - does it have to be launched out of a tikka or does any rifle in 7-08 work ?DANG!!! You must be hanging out at my range! LOL
Well.... From what they tell me any old 7-08 is good but the Tikka's are magical and have super powers. I have no reason to doubt them...Lol - does it have to be launched out of a tikka or does any rifle in 7-08 work ?

Man buns take it to a whole new level... But no... At Tikka is a Tikka is a Tikka... No substitutions... LOLMakes senseā¦.
If I have another brand in 7-08 and wear a man bun is it as good as a Tikka? Asking for a friendā¦
Its tne New T-Rex combinationI can't begin to fathom the powers of a Tikka in a 6.5 Creedmore! memtb
Unfortunately I only have one. But now that I sold my 300prc I may buy anotherI can't begin to fathom the powers of a Tikka in a 6.5 Creedmore! memtb
Well... Y'all can disrespect the Creedmoor all you want but to be honest with you the only two purely factory rifles I have chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor both shoot reliably right at a half inch and with factory ammo and that is crazy accurate. Also at 300yds the groups are ridiculously small. I don't have a proper range that is longer here that I'm a member of but this summer we intend to do some 400-600yd hog hunting on my lease over bait and I don't think I'll need more gun but time will tell.Well... those hunting with the 7mm-08 and creedmore can of course walk on water. Just that in canada it's frozen!!!
