What 7mm magnum cartridge to build?

I'm going to find out about a 7 Mega on a long action soon…. And this one has the barrel to get whatever it will offer.
.235 FB and a 28" Krieger at 8.5 tw

No doubt angle ports are more effective, IF you care to get the blast and concussion.
I'd rather have a tad more bump on the shoulder, using 90* ports and keep the brake as far out as possible, on 26"+
Concussion headaches, no more.

Interested in hearing more of your Mega when you play with load development. What bullets are you going to play with?

The 190LRHT is up first, after I get some more cases formed.
I'd like to get 100 rounds through it before I go full power.
175 EH for now and H4831, I'm intending on H1000 or N568 with the 190's.
N570,only if needed.

I,m expecting my rebarrel for a 7mm Weatherby Mag with Bartlein 3B 8 twist back next week. Planning on running 180 Berger's setted long, now what powder to use.

I'd think one of those 3 above would work. I dont veer to far from the temp stable ones.
4831 is being used for break-in only.

I am not here to argue or convince anyone that the ports on the PVA MBs are angled or not, but you can be the judge.

Lots of great options but what do you want this rifle to do? the 7Mag is always a great option because of factory ammo ect. If you are going to use a can the 7PRC is a better option bc you use a shorter barrel. the SAUM is stupid good but you won't find factory ammo in BFE. Think twist rate for your bullet selection as well. Good luck and let us know what you build!
