Each young man or woman are brought up around family or freinds that had certian caliber rifles think about a young boy in the 1800"s wanting to be able to own a sharps that few could afford so they bought what they could and then passed down there beleif and rifles to the next generation and so on. Each new family would take pride in the rifles they receive and in each new generation new rifles and caliubers were made for new generations to choose from and so on. Every hunter make a choice and then takes pride in it. I didnt like 6.5 creedmoor for years but the right price on one was low enought so I bought a ruger american preditor 6.5 creedmoor sighted in at 100 yards and it shot multibal 3 group shots you could cover with a dime. as a ethical hunter I always pick what im hunting and choose a caliber to go with that hunt and the distantce for a clean kill. I will not Judge any man choice of rifle or the fact he take extreame pride in it . whhen he or she brags about it I just smile as they should when I do.
