What’s your favorite caliber for deer?

I would have to go
Short to mid ranges
308 win
30-06
then longer ranges
300 wsm
They all work well hopefully will be harvesting a deer with my new to me 270 wsm new year and would like to have a few other calibers to try but i don't own them yet.but I do find my self reaching for my 308 more than the others

Just built a 6.5/06 and absolutely love it

I built one of these rascals about 4 years ago and it is fantastic. Use to use 25-06 or 6mm for deer. If you can do your job the 6.5-06 is devastating on crows and magpies too!

30-06 with 168gr Speer Gold Dot
6.5 Creedmoor with 140gr Accubond
257 Roberts with 115gr Partition
30-30 with 170gr Sierra flat point

Different tools for different job specifications. The Bob got added to the lineup this year and will probably become the go-to for grandkids here in a few years...
