favorite deer caliber

When I used a rifle it was without a doubt the 243 Winchester, farthest kill was around 350ish, never lost an animal with it, now that I hunt only with handguns it's my 10" 41 Magnum in the T/C Contender or the Ruger SRH in 41 Magnum for shots out to 100yds. or so. For the longer shots it falls to my 6.5 Creedmoor or 308 Winchester in one of 2 Nosler bolt action pistol's.

In my younger days I hunted out of two Adirondack camps and my .348 Win. did most of the work. In the early'90's we represented CZ and a model BRNO 600 .270 that I still have took over. Not sure of the year but along came a Model 7MS In .257 Roberts and it took over. When Savage brought out the Lady Hunter I picked up a 6.5 Creedmoor for my wife. One of the distributors that I called on thought I should add a Creedmoor to the mix so I bought one.
