What it your elevation where you are shooting at? I've tried 165 ABLR's in my 270 WSM and 270 Win, it where I'm at in AK I'm near sea level. I did not get them to stabilize in either cartridge. Both guns have 1:10 twists.
I am shooting a factory browning x bolt western hunter lr with the factory fast twist(1:7:5") so I don't have stability issues. I know some people can get them to stabilize in 10 twist barrels but is hit or miss.

I will share my results with this powder. Ramshot Grand
I'm in the process of load development for a new Christensen arms 7mm PRC ridgeline with the 22'' barrel. Im currently testing the 195 Berger, ADG brass, and 215M primers. So far, this powder has done what NO other has. The rifle is hitting velocities over 2900 and the E.S. is extremely low. A good friend turned me on to it as he too had very good results with his 7mm PRC. So far I'm at 69.6 grains as per the Hodgdon book (MAX) with no pressure signs. I didn't try any of the reloader powders as I didnt have them in stock and Ranmshot Grand is doing everything I want. However, I did test several other powders all of which had low velocities along with early pressure signs. This powder is worth a try. I hope my post/experience helps someone with their load development. The process can be frustrating and this web site has helped me out over the years. Thanks
FYI, As for the Christensen arms factory rifle, I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service, quality control, and overall experience. Never again!!! I waited over four months for the rifle AFTER I paid for it in full. Then it wouldn't feed bullets from the case, the bolt was extremely difficult to slide or close, scope mount holes were cross damaged, and the trigger had issues. Buyer beware, these things or at least mine has been a disappointment so far.
Update......
I just got a call from (as I was typing this) them, they're building me a new rifle and plan on destroying this one.
Hopefully the second time is the ticket.

That's good to hear. Would be interested in a comparison of grand and rl26. Sounds like it may be a good alternative.
Just received and loading up ladder. Hopefully Friday will get something done. Ladder is with .270 Win, 151HHT so hoping somewhere 3250-3300.

For those who have tried it, where might you position Ramshot Grand on a relative burn rate chart such as Hodgdon's?

Grand pushes bullets faster as its a double base powder, It generates a longer, More sustained pressure-curve than a sigle-basepowder, Thereby applying prolonger accelerationto the projectile. Basically it provides top velocities in appropriate cartridges. The article went on to suggest Grand could be used anywhere one might use H1000. However, The powder was engineered for the modern magnum, 6.5PRC, 6.8W, 7MM PRC, 300PRC, 7MM mag, 300PRC, and 300WM.
Again, Im not getting pressure signs at the max powder charge and the velocity in my 22'' barrel is substantially higher than any of the other powders ive tried. H1000, Retumbo, N565, Staball HD, LRT, Magnum, N570 produced very low velocities all with pressure signs.

I'm wondering if Grand is just a tweaked version of Ramshot Magnum as it essentially replaced it in their lineup as well as the same position on the burn rate chart.

I'm running 78.8 grains of LRT, 175 ABLR, and CCI 34 primers in my Bergara B14 Squared Crest (22" barrel) and it gets 3010+ fps. It was 97 degrees out the last time out with this load. It has been very consistent for me. Unfortunately, I didn't remember to take a picture of the Garmin chrono screen for 78.8 grains, but I did capture the chrono numbers from the app and attached some pics for the hotter loads. I settled on 78.8 because of the SD. Plus, this provides 3500 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle. This load is one of the top contenders for next year's trip to South Africa.
