Well, got the ceiling finished and now she has started making noises about "maybe the walls could use a new coat of paint!" Only lived here 10 years so they shouldn't need painting yet. Got to be careful or she'll be working on the hallway next.

If I'd known all the work and trouble a simple nooner was going to cause, would've gone to the Gun Show instead!...Probably not a bad idea in any case.

Well djones, got it figured that your secret that you are so proud of, is a Laser Genetics ND 3X50 laser light. About the only thing I've found that extends the range even further than a Night Vision Device and can be used with your current scope.

There's a reason it's called a "Poor Man's" Thermal imager and even us old retiree's can afford one, being less than $600.00, but with a range of up to 800 Yds. On Ebay, they get down right reasonable, but will have to cash in all my Aluminum cans before I can get one, just to play the "Keeping up with the Jones'es" game....

Yep, I get Field and Stream Magazine too!

A friend of mine travels to china alot.,he bought a knockoff version that works great for next to nothing I was ****ed he didn't get me one.

Rat it doesn't matter what time of day it is you always are better to go hunting or shooting. Always cheaper. Haha. My wife spends it faster than I can make it. I'm not saying anything to her about it cause she's gonna **** when I go out to Kirby's to pick up my turn key 338AM. And maybe a new 300win mag if he can make it happen around the same time.

RE: Laser Genetics ND3X50, I was looking on Ebay last night and they have quite a few of them to be shipped from China for something in the price range of $150.00 to $400.00. Just wonder how they get by with using the Laser Genetics name? Also wonder just how good they are? Has your friend used his and if so, how good does the knockoff work?

The NVD my brother got me after he bought himself the good one, is only good to about 200 yds. Sounds like this laser light may be a better bet if you can't afford a Thermal Imager. Am still curious and have asked on this site several times, what would happen if I put a battery operated UV floodlight over or near the feeder, would it increase the range on my NVD? Could also use the Mil issue UV Chem lights.....Have never got an answer from anyone here. Maybe no one knows? Not going to spend the money to install one, or even more, if it doesn't help light up the area or increase the range on the NVD.

I might just get one of these Laser light things if I get flush or win a big jackpot at the local Indian Casino, but not holding my breath. I don't really shoot at very long distances when we are down at the Ranch, so don't really need one, just seems like it could be handy in case I decide to go after sasquatch or something..

Especially if I decide to go up to North Central Texas to show djones and Coy how it's done after I get my eyes fixed.....

Must be nice to be able to afford secret weapons like Coy's. Must be the sounds at his servants quarters you keep complaining about, which is the sound of money, filling his bank account from all those Oil wells! And all this time I thought he was just some small time scrabbling dirt farmer trying to get by on only 3500 acres of river bottom. Must be the way he dresses that gave me the idea he was just a typical Texas dirt farmer. He needs to have Mrs Coy wash that jacket though, got to be getting ripe by now!......

Been meaning to ask, have you ever gone back after any more of those Goats?

I was under the impression, possibly erroneous, that you couldn't advertise in the US under a brand name that isn't yours. Maybe Laser Genetics IS a Chinese company? I know they steal names from each other all the time, but to list them on Ebay, under Laser Genetics and being shipped from China just doesn't sound right. Anyway the way they copy everything, the first thing I did when my newest Great Grand daughter was born last year was to check he all over to make sure there was no import stamp or brand saying "Made in China"......

...now THAT is nice Hog! I am still waiting for them to come hit the pipes out back here in our Pecan Orchard.
Both ponds are overflowing and I think that has something do with it. Maybe when it gets hot down here they will start hitting them both like they did last year to cool off. When we still had Pecans on the ground they were all over them a few months ago...but now it seems they are "fat and happy" on someone else's property.

coy's secret weapon unveiled...

Seems like just a little bit of overkill for 3 piddly little hogs.! If I was going to go apesh*t I'd just settle for a Duster...Electrically fired Quad 50's, each side (Two 50's) individually directed by a joy stick and in a traversing turret. Saw one clear a tree line at the Kontum, RVN, SF camp and it was more anti-personnel firepower in a single weapon than I've ever seen on any other ground vehicle. The one I saw was in a tank hull with the turret removed and the unit set down inside. See below:

Why take out a hog or three when you can clear the whole darned treeline. Unless of course you wanted to save the trees. After firing though, it took about 3 hours to clean the darn thing after they first replaced the barrels so that it stayed fully operational. Only took down one barrel at a time in case of attack. The funny looking sloped thing in front is where the operator sat and it was 1/2" steel to protect the operator. Could bankrupt even Coy though, buying ammo for it.

How quick did the operator go deaf??? I had friends in Nam talk about those quad 50's on a new firebase. They said the same thing about the trees.
