A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members!
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine! That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.
Now, for most of you lurkers, this has been an educational moment! You can now justify those 3 extra beers each night before coming in to review this Hog forum.
Unfortunately, Science has proven that for Lurkers, the exact opposite is true, it attacks the Faster Brain cells, that's why you all are lurkers, with nothing to contribute to the conversation and forcing smelly old djones to keep hunting those smelly old hogs and me to keep making absurd posts just to keep you entertained!

saw about 25 hogs in a cut milo field. a few phone calls later and i had the land owner's number. called him and asked if he wanted the hogs shot but he said no. looks like i'll have to bait them onto the neighbor's place where i have permission.
in the meantime i managed to bag another pretty good sized one. a second hog was coming into the picture but this one ran him off, decisively!

Packrat, thanks for lesson in logic! I may use that from time to time as needed. the thing about brewing your own is that you can make whatever you want and however you want. you like bud lite at 9%? you can have it. so I only need one more not 3...

Normally the insinuations don't bother me, however I have been told that one of the guys that lives near me's, 11 year old Daughter comes in as a lurker to look at the hog pictures you post, therefore am kind of cautious about what I post. Apparently she is about as bloodthirsty as you are and is hounding her dad to take her Pig hunting. I don't know if she reads the posts or not, just that she comes in to look at the hogs! For real!
BTW, have noticed that you are putting on a little weight. Oh, Waddle you do! .....
Another thing, from the way your hair is standing up would suggest that from now on you don't get your Rogaine and Viagra crossed up and if you've been drinking that Rogaine, pretty soon you're going to be spitting out hairballs like a cat!! Tongue feeling fuzzy?

oops. tried to edit the suggestive post but the edit option is already gone. might be bulking up a few lbs from dragging bigger hogs than usual. hope to get a haircut soon. starting to look like don king when i hang out the window pistol whipping pigs. and be glad brewer's wife just sticks her elbow in your ear. she likes to put her big toe in mine!!!

OK, got to thinking about it and actually Coy started the whole thing with posting a picture of his 10 year old grandson with his first hog and her dad made the mistake of showing it to her! A while back Samantha came over with her dad and she started asking me questions about Hog hunting. When she said she had been going into this site, which her dad has bookmarked, to see the hog pictures, both her dad and I were surprised, and she asked a lot of questions about you and you're hunting of hogs. Where were you, etc. She thought it was so Cool that Coy let his grand kids shoot hogs, but was really impressed with the quantity and size of some of your hogs. She said she probably couldn't shoot a deer because they were so cute, but hogs were ugly and looked mean. My comment that, that also described you, went right over her head.
When she kept pronouncing your name as "Dee Jones I hastily corrected her and told her it was pronounced Duh!Jones. No need to thank me, I just thought that it should be pronounced correctly!
Anyway, be aware that you have an 11 year old admirer out there. Her Dad told me about a week ago that they are being transferred to Corpus Christi (He is in the Border Patrol) and it may give her a chance to go hog hunting, and I gave him my Brothers contact information and will talk to my brother about seeing if they can go hog hunting down on the ranch from the elevated blinds. Jim said she's a pretty decent shot with the Navy .308 M-1 I traded him, for about 3 shots, then the recoil starts getting to her.
