I'm not confident about the accuracy of these numbers. There are a couple of things that raise a flag to me. The first one is the heading of that post says length then it shows weight. The other thing is the bearing surface length of the 212 gr bullet is the same number as the BC of the 200 gr bullet.

Don't forget about the 6mm. My 6x47L loves 105 Amaxs.

I have a feeling they'll eventually do an entire line of them. The factory loaded stuff looks like it's pretty reasonably priced as well. Kinda good news for fellas that want some LR performance and don't hand load, if its shoot of course.

A case of 162's and no monkeying with the press is tempting.

That was posted by Aaron from Gunwerks I believe - is it official or just what Gunwerks has found from their testing. Has anyone verified this with Hornady?

I am not saying it isn't correct but seems like an awful fast twist required - particulary the 162 gr. in 7mm.

If Hornady had some representation on here and other forums it would do them a lot of good in my opinion.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but did Hornady say if/when they'd change BC numbers on the Amax/SST? They basically said that they didn't get the numbers they'd initially published when going through this extensive testing regimen. I'd think it would be helpful for all of us to have those updated...

Mine just shipped. I back ordered 300 of everything.

When the 210 ABLR hit midway, they were sold out in minutes. The 200 ELDX have been available for several hours and are still available. They either aren't moving or Hornaday has their crap together and manufactured a box car full of them. Or both.

LOL Mike, I have the most perfect answer for that...'IT'S CHRISTMAS'!! LOL. My wife is busy out spending all of my money on Christmas presents and goodies for the holidays! I'd have to be a prestidigitator of the highest caliber to covertly secure the funds for a box or two of those 220gr beauties! lol!!

Good Luck to those of you who are much more accomplished than I!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!

Yes, Midway just sent me a notice that my back order will be filled this week.
Can hardly wait to load'em up. Hornady told me to contact them as soon as I get my order, then they'll provide me with their load data for the ELD-X. Will share it on this thread as soon as I get it.

UPDATE: Received my first box of Hornady 200 gr. ELD-X's for my 300 Win Mag. Just called Hornady and asked them for their load data for this cartridge/bullet. They asked what powders I preferred and they gave me the following data:

H4831 61.9 - 73.8
H4350 55 - 65.5
RL22 60.1 - 73.2

Note: I have used 73gr. of H4831sc behind 190 ABLR's with very good groups (1" +/-) out to 300 yards (no range access for > range).

They wouldn't give me data for the .338 but it's worth calling them if that's your caliber.

Hornady will have ELD-X load data in the 2016 manual.

I can hardly wait to give these loads a try.

I just received a box of 200 grainers for my 300WM.
The bearing surface is .691". I measured 10 bullets and the variance was only .0005".
OAL came out 1.537" + or - .001".
Compared to Berger 210 VLD bearing surfaces between .599" to .615" ( two different Lot #s ), The ELD-X bullet may infringe on case powder capacity when you load it to mag length.

I don't have the ELD-X 6.5 142 gr bullets in hand yet, but the longer bearing surface will probably help me get close to the lands with my long throated Savage 6.4x284.
