Yep I'll continue to buy hammers cause they have worked better for me than anything else. Across all the hunting I do. Just took a very large elk at 608 with the 123 absolute out of my needmore last week.

The all too often blaming of the bullet seems to be the easiest excuse for unintended results. This you tuber definitely had an axe to grind. I think I will trust someone like @fordy over a ranting tuber. Terminal results tested by someone that shoots animals for a living is something I will pay attention to.

Plus I wish we had audio so we could hear @fordy talk about pills and kills and animals strange to us.

This took off faster than I expected, I just happened on the video looking for witch 7mm hammer bullets to run in my 28 nosler, and seen it. I didn't look at a date.

143 hammer hunters, close to 3470 fps in my 7stw, no issues with Deer or Elk.

Yes. Read the comments on the YT channel. Then draw a conclusion. I bought Hammers bullets. Will hopefully be loading them soon. I think they should perform just fine for my usages.

But I'll give him some credit he does know somethings but I'm sceptical on that also as is it just using others work again & trying to note things like , working with or our group & then passes off some extremely knowledgeable people that they have correspondence with Is laughable

@fordy has tested so many bullets on cull animals at rates I cannot even fathom. From buff to deer, these are real world examples of what works and what doesn't. Ask him for his recommendations and you'll get a lot of information and a lot of photographic proof, using lead or copper.

LRH is becoming? Or has become RS, SH step child? Shoot what floats your boat. Who cares what you shoot. Seems if you don't shoot what I use whether firearm, optics, bullet, loads or even how you clean a rifle is now a battle cry. Everyone has hidden agenda? Seriously? Is that what matters now on LRH?

Some recent tests I've been doing have not even been with hammers as it's trying to finalise what I started some time back these have ( including the hammer ones ) had basically stopped for a month due to my body but I just got back behind the trigger & will start to get /try to do more of the numbers I need to validate the tests & hopefully they will be of use for some to see


I think that about sums up my thoughts on this thread & would love to reply to more but time limited sorry

Lastly let's just clear this up I didn't come straight to a hammer thread as I came over to lrh via a email notification on a grendel as that chambering intrigues me & heaven forbid that was not a hammer thread but I liked what I saw then I clicked on my notification & this thread was @ the top of the list so I clicked on that & hence reply & the other notification I will try to get through & if anyone quotes me I think it is only courteous to reply not go silent but if I don't reply it's not my intention & will try to get to it

The Hammer Bullets folks are clear how they perform and every tested bullet I've seen performs as explained. If you don't like that performance or ballistics nobody, other than California, makes us buy them.

I watched that video. I found his analysis odd. Thats fine. He is welcome to an opinion. They are mono's with petals that fracture off. Sometimes that causes amazing DRT…..sometimes the kill slower due to where the pieces go.

They really should be commended on describing how the bullets work and then they all work like that. Big company bullets fail too, often unpredictably.

I have never used HAMMER bullets. Main reason is that I have thousands of other bullets to use up. But now I know not to hunt with them if I am hunting ballistic gelatin. Use what you and your firearm like and works for you.
