Christmas build challenge

Gentlmen ,

Here's my Nominee .. He's a member here at long range hunting who has had a lot to endure.I can relate to what he has been thru and know what it is to rebuild a family. I don't know him personally so I have no personal interests here..

From Him:

"As far as what kind of hunting and shooting I do, the answer is yes, lol. I do more deer hunting than anything, but do get to hog and coyote hunt as well. Some friends of ours moved to Colorado, and that is opening up the chance to elk hunt in the future. I do shoot some competition, but I stay too busy to do any of it with much consistency. Usually try to shoot 3-4 matches of one type or another each year.

This year we were expecting a baby girl, due to be born in the summer. April 27th we went into the hospital because my wife had not felt her move in a day or so. She was gone. Keira Abigail Spicer was her name. Financially it was not a huge hit, a local funeral home covered most of the expenses and our church helped out with meals and watching our other children while we were in the hospital (wife had to have a c section). In July we found out we were expecting again, and then found out it was twins. We knew it was a high risk situation but we definitely had our hopes up. In September we lost them. That was tough, just left you feeling numb. Kicked while you are down if you know what I mean. My wife obviously had a rough time, she had to have surgery to remove the twins. And the emotional turmoil is worse with all the postpartum hormones etc.

I don't want this to sound like we are depressed and such, it has been a hard year but as Christians we believe there is a reason for it. God is better to us than we deserve, I have 6 very healthy children and great friends and family. We are ready for 2015 to be over though.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness, I do not currently have a good scoped hunting rifle, but I do have a start at putting one together. I would not want to get a rifle over a more needy person, especially not a wounded veteran or disabled person. Whatever yall do, the thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated"

First of all, I am so sorry to hear about his loss. As so often is seen, people with his faith are an example to us all!
I think he is an excellent candidate!......Rich

Man... Every time i read another candidate's story my heart feels for them, makes me thankful for what i have.... Thanks Rich for comming up with such a thoughtful and selflessness idea, now if we can only get more contributions so choosing wont have to be so hard.....

I know! I don't want to leave anyone out! I wonder if we should just cut it off at the three we have and try to complete three build? What do you guys think? (everyone)

We might get a barrel company or two to donate if we ask them as well as other action builders. Rich might be the best one to ask since it's his idea to start with.

This is such a neat idea! Thanks for putting it in motion, Rich! Hopefully there's enough donations to give all 4 nominees a rifle!
