Man can't believe I missed this thread. I love the idea. Last your my dads safari club took a wounded warrior on a hunt to legends ranch in mich. guys story was incredible amazing what people can induer and still stay positive. Love the idea so much I donated a savage axis 270, mounted scope, and laminated thumbhole stock. They are selling the tickets for the rifle for $10 bucks each to cover the cost of another hunt for another great American. sorry didn't want to steal the thread. Is there anything else you need for this build would love to help.

Well guys, we have a winner. In fact, I would go so far as to say that we have 4 winners, as the voting clearly showed. We had 18 voters, so 180 points were totaled. It was back and forth for the entire process, and in fact, the winner was not confirmed until the last voter was tallied. There was a total of 7 points separating 1-4. Here is how it went with lowest being best.

Winner..........#3 (nominated by nyshunter)......... 42 points
Runner up.....#2 (nominated by predator22)........ 43 points
Third.............#1 (nominated by westcoasthunter...46 points
Fourth...........$4 (nominated by Barrelnut)............49 points

Since we have enough donated to build 2 rifles, I think everyone has agreed that we should do that. I will be looking for info from the 2 winning nominators so that we can best fit the needs of the recipients. I will then get with the gunsmiths to get the ball rolling. Now lets build a couple rifles that these guys can be proud of!!

Really tough choices! In my mind 7 points top to bottom doesn't reflect how close the choices were-decimals would be more representative. On another day I could have easily picked differently.

Gentleman I really don't know what to say.

I am very grateful, humbled, and tremendously excited.

My kids all wanted to know why someone would give me a rifle. Great time to teach lessons that I hope last a lifetime. This whole thing has been a blessing, just seeing the generosity of you folks. Next year I plan to be a contributor, and pay it forward as much as I can.

I truly am a bit in shock but even more so very excited, thank you all so much.
