I HAVE 3 OF THEM, THEY WORK FLAWLESSLY FOR RECOIL REDUCTION AND MUZZLE JUMP. THE LOCTITE IS REALLY THERE TO PROTECT THE BARRELS FINISH, YOU DO HAVE TO REALLY TIGHTEN THE ATTACHING SCREWS AS TIGHT AS POSSIBLE. THATS WHY THEY SEND EXTRA SCREWS FOR YOUR INSTALLATION,

I have 532 rounds through the gun total, 340 using the Witt Break. I followed Witt's instructions to the letter and installed with blue Loctite. I have also removed and reinstalled 2 times for cleaning without any problems.

Have seen some of these advertised but didn't think they would maybe stay on. Some actually look good, and have watched videos of them being used and the amount of recoil they decrease. Have seen damnation and praise for them. Has anyone on here actually tried one of them. Was thinking about possibly trying one on a 300 win. mag. that isn't threaded for a screw on brake. Thanks in advance.

I have installed on a Winchester Model 70 3006 that has been increased to 338 and I have fired about 275 to 300 rounds down the tube, with absolutely no problems also my 12 year old grand daughter shot about 30 of those rounds and she fell in love with the rifle.. I have now set it back in the back of the safe for her when she gets a few more years under her belt..

Yeah I used the loctite. Did everything exactly as Witt instructions said. No problems at all.
Also it is a perfect flat spot to set a level in order to mount a scope. Long as u mounted it level.

I have used Khantrol clampon Muzzle break. https://kahntrol.com. I did not need one for my 308 savage (the recoil was comfortable) but I did a long distance shooting course with Dan Newbury last July at bang steel (I recommend bang steel for a practical long distance course) and adding the muzzle break really helped with spotting shots. Taking that many shots over 2 days was probably much easier than without the break. Got some pretty consistent shots out to 1015 yards with the break on. It was easy to install and works very well. Have been using since last July. Like all muzzle breaks it will change your POI, so you will need to re-zero. I kept the break on for hunting and it worked great hunting too. I am not sure if I am supposed to take this off periodically and clean the muzzle break - anyone out there have advice on that? (I cleaned my rifle with the break on but it is more of a pain to clean).

I have a VDC Armory clamp on brake on my 300wm. It's works really well. Im extremely pleased with it. I should've done it a long time ago. Basically the same principle as Witt. Measure the barrel at 2 places (muzzle and 1.5 in back) and they machine it to those specs. And, blue loctite to protect the barrel finish.

Ordered a Witt clamp on brake for my 300 Win. Mag. $89 plus $15 to have it coated + shipping to PA total $112.40 ; hope to be able to see my hits at 400 yards and farther. Thanks to everyone that shared their results from the Witt muzzle brakes that they have. Good luck hunting and shooting in 2018.

Got my brake and put it on today, followed instructions, but instructions said it may be tight. Mine was not, it slid on with no resistance at all, I was wondering if you fella's brakes were tight going on or not. It seemed to tighten on the barrel soon as I started to turn the small screws in, I tightened them all as far as I could turn them in. Just wondering if that is normal for some to be tight going on and others not tight going on. How easy were yours to slide onto the barrel? Thanks guys.
