Berger 153.5 Hybrid bullets for Hunting

I've shot 2 doe at 140&220 yds. 3000mv. 153.5 LRHT
Ribcage shots look safe, but I don't know about shoulder shots.

I'd feel better if they were 300 or beyond before I tried that. Maybe 400+
along with the extreme BC im hoping these are a little tougher bullet than the EH/EOL.

I set my prc up for the 156 Berger initially, then went to the 153.5's when they came out. I use them exclusively in it. They are a very good, high bc, accurate long range bullet. Probably not the best choice for hunting larger game, but with correct shot placement they will work.

Everything I've tried has been loaded by companies. I have everything to load for it but just had so many family issues since buying it I haven't the time or want to fool with it. I have 142 ablr & 156's loaded by North American ammunition using ADG brass & the 153.5 Berger from copper using Lapua brass. Thinking I'll try the 153.5 on whitetail this season.

Either will work well for white tales!
Good choice in my opinion.
I load my own with ADG brass and N570, works great in my barrel. I'm sure the Lapua brass is great too, haven't tried their 6.5 PRC brass yet, but it's all I use in 338LM.

Why even consider a target bullet when you have a 156 gr hunting bullet. I load 156 over H1000 and get 2950 mv and .25 moa. Out of my 6.5 PRC. Killed an elk last year at 320 yds. DRT

In my case, I'm hoping it's more consistent than the 156 EOL.
Plenty of actual experience on this forum to cause concern.

this one worked well on a hard raking shot at 90yds. I set up for a 300yd shot, and he had other ideas.
