If it doesn't speed up when its broke in, call me.Planning on trying N570 and H1000 with the 180 vld's. I've also got some 120 and 131 Hammer Hunters on the way, have H4350, H4831sc and Varget to try with those.

Dude are you talking about my wife???? How do you know her????Not fatter, just short and fat ! Sounds good Rich, anything efficient is good.
The Cayuga shoot excellent, extremely consistent, not picky at all about seating depth. Put em through bone and they'll do alright. Put em in vitals and they don't expand that well. I shot a lot of critters with em last season.Have been playing with my wife's 7 max, so far have shot the 170 PVA cayugas, the 177 hammers, and the 175 eld-x. All using n565. The cayugas are an interesting bullet, the band up front measures .280, so between bore diameter and rifling diameter, and the bearing surface is very short, shorter than the neck of the max. Below is how I have these seated, they are .125" off the lands, OAL of 3.140", the bearing surface at the boat tail is above the neck shoulder junction, and the front bearing surface is at the case mouth, so all the bearing surface is in the case neck, but still above the neck/shoulder junction.
In this 20" barrel, pressure signs are showing up around 2950 fps. With the 175 eld-x's, they showed up at about 2870 fps, and with the 177 hammers, about 2900 fps.

We have shot two pronghorn and an elk with them so far, and they have done good to this point, but the lowest velocity at impact so far has been a 460 yard pronghorn at 2800 fps, so will be interesting to see. The two pronghorn hit nothing but light rib bones, but still bone. The Cayuga shoot excellent, extremely consistent, not picky at all about seating depth. Put em through bone and they'll do alright. I had good results on 2 antelope, 1 large bodied mule deer buck in rut, put it high shoulder and it zapped him, when we get to thr buck, he was paralyzed from spinal shock but still very much alive. The bull elk at 575y, the first 3 went through quartered away vitals like nothing happened, so much so I thought I was missing completely. The 4th shot I put it high shoulder and it crumpled the bull. I recovered the high sholder, hardly any expansion. These were all the 123gr 6.5mm version. We have shot two pronghorn and an elk with them so far, and they have done good to this point, but the lowest velocity at impact so far has been a 460 yard pronghorn at 2800 fps, so will be interesting to see. Shot some more today after thoroughly scrubbing the barrel. I ran some 131 grain hammer hunters through it, using H4831sc, building up to 71.3 grains, where I hit pressure at 3,541 FPS. More work to do on that load but it looks promising. If it doesn't speed up when its broke in, call me.
