Ok.... I'll admit defeat and my stupidity and ask for help. I'm having an issue setting up my whidden micrometer seating die. I've looked online for help and all Ive found is "take a loaded round and screw the die down till it stops". Ok fine....but I'm trying to get a loaded round.
I get lower ram and screw die in till it touches the shell holder. Lower ram. Then another 1 or 2 rotations more. I get that. This is where I get confused. Loosen set screw on top (ok, got it) and unscrew stem about an inch. What part? The micrometer dial or the screw portion of the die below the micrometer dial? Or is the threaded rod that the set screw is on?
If it's not the screw portion under the micrometer dial, then where do you set that? Screw it all the way down? Midway? And where do you put the micrometer dial to start? Unscrew it so it starts at longest possible?
I'm sure this is a totally stupid question and I'm missing something super easy but I'm tired of pulling bullets when they go to far in.
Please help....
