7mm PRC

Lane Precision should be chambering my 7-300prc soon. 26" rock creek carbon 8tw barrel, terminus Kratos Lite action. Redding 300prc type s FL die, Hornady 300prc seater w/ 7mm stem, had to do same prep on necks as Rhovee.

Man I honestly have a hard time believing that the 70gr case would do that. The accuracy node must be right below max pressure.

Agree. I have a 7 saum 24" barrel that shoots 180s and is throated to 3.150. RL26 at 3000 FPS is getting up there. Maybe a 1.5 grains under bolt lift

Just got thru this whole thread, being as I'm a 7 lover found it interesting. Personally I've been using the 7 Mashburn Super for several decades. It works for me belt and all..........:)

All I need is some 300 Winnie brass and I'm golden. Hagel, Bowman and Page had this right 60 years ago....grins

Bottom line, pick one, get intimate with it and go forth and fill up arks

necking the 6.5 prc to 7mm is the same as a 284 win.
ADG/Gunwerks necked up 69.7 gr
6.5-284 Lapua necked up 68 5
the only advantage to the prc is it is designed to run at higher pressures giving better brass life MAYBE.
the 284 needs 28-30 inch barrels to reach those velocities.
I did reach 2950 with 180 bergers and rl-26 in my 284 win with 25inch barrel and it was hot and accuracy was much lower 2865. so the prc will have to reach the next node to even have a chance to get those speeds
