My 7 WSM 26" Brux bbl 66grs of H1000 pushes a Berger 184 gr at 3,000 FPSWhile that may true, the 7WSM is quite capable of shooting 180gr bullets at velocities up to 3,000 fps with H1000 or Retumbo. I normally shoot 160-162gr gr bullets at 3,000fps but the cartridge is capable of more.
I was referring to "traditional" bullets and didn't even think of monos. Hell I've got a couple.boxes of Hammer Hunters sitting on the reloading bench as we speak.View attachment 486964
I did, with exceptional accuracy
I've only had this rifle since march of this year and realize there is a lot of experimenting that can be done with it, yes I understand that it's purpose is to shoot heavy high bc bullets but like you, I had a box of hammers on hand and gave them a go, pleasantly surprised. No, they're not as fast as a 7 rem mag but none the less, still pretty snappy. I'm also playing with powders that most seem to shy away from with respectable results but readily available in my part of the country. I meant no dis respectI was referring to "traditional" bullets and didn't even think of monos. Hell I've got a couple.boxes of Hammer Hunters sitting on the reloading bench as we speak.
