7mm PRC

So in the original version of that podcast he makes an offhand comment that the "7 LRM, soon to be the 7 PRC". They have removed that comment, probably weren't supposed to say that. I still have it on my phone but when I went to check it today that is missing.

I suspect Aaron was having a moment of wishful thinking there. If Hornady were to standardize it on his spec's they'd have to pay him a royalty for every rifle and round produced for it.

There are those other threads where they discuss that SAAMI has approved it. I don't see the drawing up or in info to that effect. A case similar to the 7 LRM less the long neck would follow the pattern of the 6.5 PRC and 300 PRC. That change would make it different enough to avoid royalties I would think.

I can't find a drawing for it anywhere and I've been chasing the rumor all over the net from one board to the next.

This all may be based on Davidson's statement on the pod cast and nothing more but who knows.

Yeah this looks more interesting than some of their other offerings, for me anyway, and may be the ticket.
