I never imagined a standard cased RUM would push 350's at 3,000fps and still be short enough to be mag fed. I guess I need to get back on my project and finish it

Hard to believe some of these numbers. I'm shooting a 37XC with 250 freebore loaded long and 32" 1:10 and getting 3079fps with 350gr smk's. If your already single feeding go 37XC. You won't be disappointed

so I'm thinking of moving to a 375 rum to shoot mile+ I don't know a hell of a lot about the cartridge am I pushing **** up hill or can it be done with the right projectile combo etc

Cheers
Lucas
Well I like my 375 RUM (ALOT) but it is anemic as hell for past 1 Mile and you will NEVER kiss 2 miles.... for 2 Miles you need the 375 HELLFIRE! We are in development of the 375 Hellfire.... Here is my 375 RUM MONSTER that I love dearly but she is far too weak for 1 mile let alone 2 miles.. Step up to the 37XC or the 375 Hellfire as the 375 CT is YESTERDAYS news.... https://photos.app.goo.gl/f4gbh15k3iCKHtvd8

You need to look at the 375 Hellfire by Bertram Brass Co.
