I got a custom .375 Ruger, 26" barrel, big brake, and 3.825 CIP length action, for the longer bullets, uses RUM Mags, for grins get yourself some of the buffalo bore ammo with the 270 grn barnes bullets. My rifle likes those 0.5 to .75 MOA at a 100 yards. My buddy bought a 375 and a 338 rum from a site member just a little while back and hasn't shot them yet . I think I'm more excited to try them than he is . After shooting his 416 it got me wanting something bigger than my 300wm and 338 wm so I got a 375ruger not quite the same league as the rum but still a fun big bore with enough punch for anything I could ever hunt.
A good Dose of Re-26 will get you the Velocity your looking for !I built another 375 RUM, Defiance tenacity action, 32in finished 409modbb bartlein barrel in an 11 to 10 gain twist, beast muzzle brake, hs precision stock (last one I will ever buy) wyatts 3.825" extended box. Built by Mark Penrod of Penrod Precision. Will be running AGM brass and plan to shoot 329 HHs at over 3,000 fps. The bare rifle weighs in at 13.6lb and finishes 56 inches long, now I need to find a case long enough and start working up a load.

I have a 375 RUM and have shot some factory 300 gr though it. Standing off-hand while leaning against a pole is the only safe for ones shoulder to fire it. On sand bags is not tolerable, it will hurt the shoulder. I suppose a double bagged led sled could contain the recoil but I doubt the stock could survive it, it is over 5500 lbs recoil, which is like the big African 470's and 500's.so I'm thinking of moving to a 375 rum to shoot mile+ I don't know a hell of a lot about the cartridge am I pushing **** up hill or can it be done with the right projectile combo etc
Cheers
Lucas
What brake do you have on the barrel?I have a 375 RUM and have shot some factory 300 gr though it. Standing off-hand while leaning against a pole is the only safe for ones shoulder to fire it. So, I loaded some cartridges down the a .375 H&H recoil with Accurate 5744 using 300gr Sierras which work for me. No sled sled, no muzzle blaster, and a tolerable recoil.
I like them like this.
I'm guessing "no muzzle blaster" means no brakeWhat brake do you have on the barrel?
Don't sweat it, I've had three of them and pain is temporary. In all seriousness, best of luck with your recovery! This is first accessory I would add .

Since I had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago, the thought of the recoil is making me cringe!
Yes, they are too disruptive. I can handle the recoil but need more enjoyable practice with it.I'm guessing "no muzzle blaster" means no brake
