THIS IS A DIFICULT ONE FOR ME. I THOUGHT I WOULD PUT IN MUDDYBOOTS-PRAYERS NEEDED

My friends, returned home on Saturday after 25 days in hospital. Rough ride but many have had it worse. Post surgery, like most said, was a challenge. Without getting into details, there were close calls.

I slept all afternoon and it was divine! I still have a long road ahead. The surgery itself went perfect. Lumbar Fusion L2-L5 plus scoliosis realignment, realign a vertebrae that was also problem. Could not use spacers due to my mastodon (Sasquatch) size vertebrae! They do not make spacers big enough to replace the discs which are abnormally large. Which surgeon said was fantastic to anchor anything!

Please accept my deepest thanks for ALL the kind thoughts and prayers sent my way. I have no doubt they helped immensely. I truly appreciated the kindness.

Special thank you to @Coyote Shadow Tracker, Len & Jill for their extended kindness as well

Those look just like mine, just add 4 more vertebra and hardware. My problem was kyphosis after my break healed crooked.q Looks like a railroad track on the X-ray. Be careful on those screws until some bone grows in around them. They will break. Ask me how I know. I broke two and had to have a complete hardware overhaul. I'm fused from S2 thru t10 and c6-7 in my neck. Take care of yourself, walking is the best thing. At least they had spacers and wedges that fit me but they had to go in through the front and thru my diaphragm to put them in. That sucked.

Yep you are an Iron Man.

TSA will never be the same either.....🙂

Congrats on graduating and getting back home! Enjoy those naps and take it easy. One Day at a time.

Best to you and your family.

You have more metal in you than I do now. I you fly commercial, I would like to hear how it went with the TSA.
I don't fly so haven't been exposed to that one but I do get attention in the courthouse. The first time they stopped me I just lifted my shirt and showed them the 16" scar down my spine and the 10" one above my hip where they went in to place the wedges. They said go right ahead in. Just make sure you tuck your shirttail back in.
