Prayers Needed

IMG-20240529-WA0000.jpgAmanda took this photo as Jephias came out of surgery yesterday. He sais he felt much better they diverted his bowel movement to a bag. We have not heard from the doctor yet. I hope to het some news today. But they were also taking samples for testing.

This is the message we got last night. He looks pretty good!

Report from Tino today. Not exactly what we wanted to hear but he is alive. He is a tough young man. Praying he can endure and survive.

Good morning.
Jephias was discharged from hospital yesterday. He has lots of swelling and body pain and is not able to walk on his own.
I was able to have a short discussion with the doctor yesterday and we will be meeting at his office this coming Thursday to share test results and discuss the way forward. Currently there is much concern as he thinks it is an advanced stage 3 and possibly even stage 4 cancer as he already has a abdominal mass. We are unsure of anything right now. But thx to the funds we received and still coming in he is alive today!🙏 He would not have made it through the past week without this and everyones support.

I'm here in Africa and the number one tracker for Trophy Game Safari, Jephias, is ill. They are not sure if it is cancer or an infection. He is 36 years old with a wife and two children. Over years I consider him a friend. He is a terrific guy that I very much look forward to seeing when we come. He struggles with modern medicine and we need him to trust the modern doctors and move away from the native doctors. You guys are always up for lifting people in need of healing, so I am hoping you can lift him up in prayer. Thank you for your help. I will get updated on his condition and pass the information along.
Prayers for Jephias.

Just got an update on Jephias. Please keep the prayers going.

Afternoon all. Had Jephias for his doctors appointment today. There is still a bit of uncertainty as all his biopsy results are not in as of yet. But the current diagnose is lymphoma. He is pretty far advanced and his legs are swollen like a baloon and hard. He has been struggling keeping any food in the past week due to reflux and he is pretty weak. They put him on morphine for pain as of today. We hope to get more results by Thuesday after which a specialist will then see him for planning on Chemo. Then we will also know the final cost. But due to gracious donations so far I believe we are very close to be able to cover the cost. He will have the external bag throughout the process. A long road ahead. Keep on praying for him 🙏

We got another update last night.

Good evening.
Today was a difficult day. Amanda and I finally were able to take Jephias to the oncologist as yesterday we were trying to get the general surgions referral and final biopsy results. I will post his diagnosis below for those who want to see it and also the referal for hospital admission. At this point he can not start chemo as it will actually kill him. It seems he has a possible infection in his organs. They need to treat this first to get him mobile again before they will treat him with Chemo. Currently he's lower body is very swolen and he can not walk or stand. We took him to hospital late afternoon to get him admitted. By 6pm he was still in the emergency unit for submission and we had to return to the ranch as we had left out clients the whole day. I have to hunt in the morning and Amanda will visit the hospital to see if he is stable and prperly cared for. We hope to have a small update by Saturday. The following 5 to 14 days will determine if he can make it to chemo. If he does he will get 5 days of continious chemo every three weeks and after that he will have to get radiation. At this stage it is 50/50 if he will make it through to chemo.😢 This is not easy to say and there were some hard words today. We are doing what we can to support him and thank you for you all praying for him and also contributing.
I was hoping for better news today to give you all..... but the journey ahead is unknow at this stage.😭

Update from Saturday morning.

So Jephias was at the state hospital from Thursday till last night without yet being submitted to a ward and seeing a specialist. The conditions are pretty bad and chances are he would only be started on treatment by next week. He discharged himself and I had Tom fetch him. They got back here at 2am this morning. Amanda and I had him to our GP this morning to get a drip with antibiotics for the sepsis for the next 5 days. Amanda will attend to that. She also has him on a protein diet to also help his system absorb nutrition. If he can get stronger we will look at getting him on antiretroviral drugs if his body will react positively on the antibiotics so that we can get him to the phase where they will treat him with chemo.

The prayer doesn't work for that kind of cancer or sickness. Take him to Cape Town find pastor John Anosike. He is well known to pray for cancer and raise the dead if nothing else is working. The guy needs a miracle not a prayer.

I'm going to say this as nicely, politely and plainly as possible - according to the Word of God, if prayer in Jesus's name will not cause Him to intervene and heal: either
(A) God has other plans for Jephias
(B) refer to A

John 14:12
¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

I will add a disclaimer - regardless of our prayers, God is sovereign and doesn't have to answer for any decision He makes. His righteousness and perfect judgment enables Him to always do that which is right.
