Reloading setups

First setup is the reloading bench. Second is the cleaning and tinkering bench. Stole one of the bedrooms in the house.

Nice setup!! I've got one kid off to college and another going into the service after this school year so hoping the wife lets me steal one of those rooms for my build, I'm stuck in the basement currently

Very nice set-ups!! I am jealous.

Since the kids have been out of the house for several years, suggested that I convert one of the spare bed rooms to a reloading man cave. That was quickly shot down with a cold stare that does more damage than a 12 ga. at 10 ft. So to the garage I went!
Sounds like you made your big mistake years ago. I convinced my wife that it was Much Cheaper to be a Gun and Reloading Fanatic than going out to BARS and drinking with the Boys.

I had a room specifically for reloading. BTW, does your wife have a sewing room. If you have enough equipment to justify the space, I say take the spare bedroom, if it can be spared. Sometimes, it's better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission!

Yeah, when we went and looked at our house before we bought it, I told the wife "THIS is going to be my room". I already had an idea of what I wanted to do and I sorta did it. Only bad part about my room is that it's in the basement. Functionally its almost perfect though. I'm considering connecting my two benches where my gun cabinet currently sits so I can add a shotgun reloading station as well.

Just go buy some lumber and start building it. What's the worst that could happen?

I needed to rearrange my room to add a gun safe so built a workbench for added counter top for working with rifle instead of on the kitchen table. This is the 3rd bedroom and is small, house is 960sf. Bench is 48x20x34 or 36 high, don't remember exactly. A lot nicer having a work space in the room to hold guns and arrow saw. The overhang on front allows me to clamp a small vise, case trimmer, etc items for temporary use. All from scrap material had laying around. Whole room is about a 9x11.
