Why shoot a sissy rifle?

LOL, once upon a time I got tired of my 7RM beating me up, so I got a .257AI as a companion "light" rifle. Then, I got tired of the .257 beating me up, and got a 6.5CM. Recently, I retired at 65, got tired of the Man Bun beating me up, and got a 6.5 Grendel.

I still have and shoot all of them, and a 30-06, but the CM and Grendel get the most use. I'll freely admit that the suppressed CM is my current "heavy" rifle. Not skeered.

30-1/2" barrel. Over 21lbs to help with the massive recoil. 😂

not only a Creedmoor but it's got a swaro z5 on it. it's killed a lot of deer a few pigs and smaller critters and smacked a lot of steel plates.

it spits out a 135 classic hunter right over 2850.

after a while the haters start reminding me of the politicians and preachers who always rail a little too hard on the gays and then get caught in a hotel with a Philippino transvestite, the lady doth protest too much methinks

I killed or was witness to 15 deer/antelope killed this year with my 6cm, 22cm, the womans 6cm, and my buddies 6arc. Distances were 180 to 640y. All but 1 were single shot kills with very little travel taken after impact. You don't need a 300 Uber mag to kill things ethically. Every shooter will perform better with a low recoil cartridge.

Americans have magnumitis. You'd think we were all from Texas, where bigger is better. My favorite gun to hunt with is a Contender carbine in 7-30 waters or 7mm TCU. Plenty to kill any deer out to 200 yards. Young shooters and old shooters both appreciate a moderate recoiling cartridge.

My friend's 12 yr. old grandson used a tripod, ELDX, and 6.5 Creed to kill a cow elk with one shot at 503 yards.

The high sectional density and ballistic coefficient of the 140 gr. bullets make the 6.5 shoot above its weight class. Fighting in the woods, the Germans and Russians would hide behind trees. I don't believe most trees were big enough to stop the 6.5 FMJ.

I shot my first deer with a sporterized Swedish Mauser my dad bought surplus after the war. You could buy a Springfield 30-06 for $23 back then.
