Right, then everything else goes up too. The Creed is just a nice chambering for entry level hunters and anyone looking for comfortable horsepower. You'd have to do the 6.8 Western to run the heavy .277's with a factory build which is much less supported than the Creed…Only when comparing "same weight". Up the 270 to the 150 VLD's and 165 VLD's, and things begin to change.
I don't totally agree with less supported in the 6.8 western I buy 6.8 western all the time in factory ammo and plenty of bullet choices and I've got 400 new unified brass still in the package. Yep, you got the magicRun a .270 Win on 700LA to maximize magazine COAL OF 3.67 with sufficient freebore for heavies with fast twist longer barrel and you will be surprised with results. Toss in RL26 pixie dust and its completely different cartridge.
