I had to throw in the obligatory remarkI'm hoping everyone guessed I was kidding well maybe....
Dang this has been a fun one.
I just wanna know
Is there just 2 kinds of people out there, ones that do own 6.5s and ones that are thinking of owning a 6.5???????
shooooot PRC your dialed that's manly AF!…..even with a sissy brake on itI do have a brake on my 6.5 PRC Ridgeline but came that way.
I love my 6.5 PRC and 6.5x284. My 6.5 Creeds... Well , I like them. I like all cartridges! We actually do have one…….though, it's a 6.5-284. I put it in the gun safe so our other rifles have something to laugh at! Good humor keeps em happy! memtb
If the brake isn't enough you may want to look at reduced loads with lighter bullets.I'm shopping for a muzzle brake for my Tikka 6.5 Creed. It's pretty rough on my shoulder and makes me flinch. I was thinking of an APA Fat Bastard . Any suggestions...?
I even used to live in Kommiefornia like you !shooooot PRC your dialed that's manly AF!…..even with a sissy brake on it
I know you know me but I'll play along. I got a couple to bite I noticed I stopped getting email notifications from this thread after page 11. WTH ?If the brake isn't enough you may want to look at reduced loads with lighter bullets.

not according to the needmore push, only they can do thatTo be fair, don't most all critters drop in their tracks? Even if they run off after the shot? Except for maybe flying birds or small, lightweight vermin like Prairie Dogs which rarely drop where they were standing?
Thank you for this information. My one question is, What size are the targets used at each range? I have watched videos of people trying to hit 8 x 10 or larger targets out at extreme ranges and being happy with one hit out of 20 shots. The advantage of having the whitetail five feet from your regular 700 yard target was a plus, known distance and known dope for the shot makes it much easier to make a shot like this. Regardless, Congratulations on the shot.I would like to say, without any disrespect or argumentative conversation towards you, that I watched a guy in Colorado shoot in 100 yard increments out to 2000 yards one shot one hit. I have a range at home I shoot regularly out to a mile. My longest shot so far is 700 yards at a whitetail. One shot no step dead. I would say not the normal guy should do this. But with lots of practice it really is doable. Having your own range really helps also reading wind knowing distance and knowing deer movement. My 700 yard shot was 5 feet from 700 yard plate.
Anyway thanks for your input and thanks to you all that served to let me be able to enjoy doing this!
