What is your best deer rifle

If I had to pick just one, it was a 6.5 Grendel AR. Accurate and brought em down. Killed more with a .30-30 and .300 win mag but if I had to go with one gun.

North Idaho Hunter, I just picked up a Browning X Bolt in a 6.5 CM Though I'd give it a try. My hunting buddy has a Tikka in a 6.5x55 and it really knocks the deer over.

Try loading it with 123 SST's at high speed and you'll be amazed.

Hi guys, hey what's your best deer rifle, mine is a Browning A bolt 30-06.

For deer hunting I use a Tikka T3x in 270 and hand loaded 130 gr Nosler partitions. Shoots fast, flat and hard. It hits where it was aimed when the trigger was pulled. Prior to the Tikka was a Post 64 Winchester model 70. In both cases it has been one shot, one deer.

I like the 7mag with 150gr Ballistic Tips or the 30-06 with 165gr or 168gr Ballistic Tips.I could flip a coin on which one I like better.The 7mag is a little flatter,but I get a little larger wound channel with the 30-06.The reaction is usually exactly the same,straight down.

Mine would have to be Remington 700 sps tactical in 308 with 20 inch barrel shooting hammer bullets.I call it meat in the pot for a reason lol

BLR 308 I bought in the early 80s. Just quit using it 3 years ago when I bought a savage ul 300wsm. I really like the wsm but still feel guilty about leaving the BLR in case.

For my personal hunting it's a custom 280 Remington and for guiding, it's my trusty old 264 Win Mag!

Ditto on the 264 win mag w/140 corelock. One shot...one kill..
