What is your best deer rifle

I started shooting a 6.5 creedmoor some 10 years ago. Most of all my shooting buddies were shooting 308win. 10 years ago I made the remark, "6.5 creedmoor will replace the 308 among match shooters and hunters." Of course I was laughed at.

As I scan this thread, I see 3 post for 308win and many many post for 6.5 creedmoor.

I ask, has the 6.5 creed overcome the 308 in popularity?

I like Rem700's.

I like to alternate between a few I have: so far I've taken the most deer with an 80's vintage 30-06 mountain rifle that I used exclusively until about 10 years ago, now I'm starting to catch up with a 270 SS BDL. I've also shot a few with various Win70's and a Sako.

currently my 300wsm browning abolt kind of want to get it rechambered to 270wsm but probably wont just got a new weathby mark 5 accumark chambered in 6.5 x 300 for long range deer hunting still working on load development so the might become my new favorite

I've killed deer with many different calibers and rifles but this year I'm going backwards and using a Marlin GG 45-70 just because I can. But really my all time favorite has been a Browning A Bolt in 30-06.

Remington 700 with Shilen barrel in 25-06 Ackley Imp. 100 grain Hornady or Sierra, shoots flat and hammers deer size game.
