I'm looking for 5KHahaha you are crazy! I like it but that's a little to wild of a wildcat.
I can't wait to hear more about it when it's finished. What are you thinking for speed? 4500fps?

30-06 necked down to 22 cal
I was looking at that one as well. I think the 22 dasher wouldn't have the speed I'm looking for but the 22gt would. I was also looking at the 224TTH which is a 6rem necked down. The main downside is quality brass that's available. I'd like to stay under 45gr of powder.22 GT is a great option. No problem with dies or brass.
I don't shoot high volume so if I can get 1200-1500 rounds out of a hunting rifle I'm happy. But if I'm burning a barrel before I burn a brick of primers I'm probably not going to rebarrel with that cartridge.I wished I had a 1:8 twist throated for heavy 22's. Right now my 22-250 is 3600 fps with 55 grains. It has more to give as an AI or another necked down case, but that 1:12 twist is holding it back. At 1:8 twist you need to do what Butterbean is doing, going to a solid mono and therefore throating it to accept a mono you prefer. As is, the 22-250 is a little hard on barrels. Do you mind that?
Then I'd say split the difference, and avoid fireforming and keep the longer case neck with 22 BR. But whatever interests you, 22 Dasher would be even more rare.I was thinking 22 Grendel or 22 dasher.
