What’s your favorite caliber for deer?

25/06..back up rifle 280 AI. Banged up my rifles now and then when hunting hard country so it's important to have a back up matched to the animal your hunting also..the 25 06 is in a sweet zone for deer. IMHO

I hunt in wide open semi desert and I use a 7mm rm with 140 gr accubonds !

I've killed deer with just about everything from a 22-250 to a 300 Win Mag............they all work, but just remember, only accurate rifles are interesting.

Gonna go with my MK5 RC 257Wby... but have numerous kills with my 243Win, 7mm, 300Win really just depends on what I grab that day. All are very capable... the 257 is just a fun round to hunt and shoot

.270 Win is my go to and I also have a great shooting 7mm mag (Elk gun) that is a great deer getter as well

short range/thick cover 30-30 with 150 grain Barnes
medium 270 Winchester with 120 grain Barnes
longer distances 0.277" wildcat off the 7MM R/M case with 150 grain Barnes or 170 grain Berger.

Mmmm... choices? I would have to say first choice would be 25 caliber ( 250AI, 257, and 25:06AI ) followed by my 260. But the 7:08 is longing for more attention. Mmmm... choices!
